Need some insight before I drive it to the dealer. At discount tire, when they jacked my truck, coolant began pouring out, leaking where the black hose meets the coil. The dealership is about 8 miles away from here. Any insight would be helpful. My garage floor is dry. Where I parked here is dry. This happened in their bay.

The infamous crossover pipe leak? There’s lots of info here on the subject.

Is this a common problem? I haven’t stumbled on that one yet. Could it have been from the jacks and lifting it? Or bad timing for everyone

That's a decent amount of fluid. I don't see how this could "spontaneously" start leaking that much at the tire store but I guess it's possible.

Looks like a hose inside a heat shield. Is it coolant or transmission? Taste?

Reading the crossover pipe that seems to be it. Could it have torqued or flexed when lifting the truck, they used floor jacks under the engine. And it’s definitely coolant, my reservoir confirms as well. I walked the parking lot with the manager there is not a drip in sight.

I see witness marks on your cat shield. Did they put their lift arm in the wrong spot?

Is that CAT shield bent? Did they try to lift it from there and knick the cooler line(s)?

That isn't a coil, just some silver heat shielding to prevent the cat from cooking the hose. If you pinpointed the leak to the hose, it's a matter of replacing the $20 hose and topping up the coolant. https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/oem/toyota~hose~water~by~pass~16267-0p090.html

Not too difficult of a job if you/the mechanic can get to the upper end (16267K):

Best of luck in getting Discount Tire to pay for their mistake!

They’re towing it to Toyota, they floor jacked my cat and it slipped into the crossover. Just showed the manager all of it and he agrees.

thanks everyone, you all wasted no time helping!

Such a bummer to have that happen when getting your tires rotated. Hopefully you get back up and running asap.

Hey, it’s 100°F plus here for the next 3 days. What else do I have to do but sit in the A/C under a ceiling fan and try to solve the world’s problems :)

looks like the tech swung the lift arm under the truck and hit the coolant pipe just inboard of the cat shield. is the hose damaged? or did it just have pressure on the hose, causing it to break the seal where the hose end goes onto the nipple?

Except that is not the infamous coolant crossover. No way for a lift or jack to touch it. This is it:
