Hi all! I just swapped a toyo-steering tundra rack into my 2006 tacoma with new power steering lines and a new pump. But, I used the stock tacoma tie rods with the steering rack. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to find a boot that will fit the tacoma tie rod and the tundra rack? The stock tundra boot is too wide for the tacoma tie rod and the stock tacoma boot is too small for the rack. Any help would be very much appreciated

(just joined tacomaworld and I'm unsure how the threads work so i'm sorry if this question shouldve been put in another thread/forum)

OEM tundra or LC200 rack boots should fit

Just use a small stainless steel hose clamp

I put tundra boots on. They're just zip tied. No issues

Hmm i cant clamp mine down to my tie rods the boots are strangely rigid and the gap just cant be closed no matter what i do. I ordered the boots from toyota but ill look into more aftermarket options for a rubber that can form more to the tie rod. Thank you all for the responses!

    minor tweaks
It's a simple fix, look for some tubing that has a similar ID as the Tacoma's tierod's OD and use a 1" section of it as a gap filler, ribber would be preferable but something rigid could be made to work also with a clamp to hold it. Basically you just want to sleeve a small section of the Tacoma's tie rod up to the size of the tundra's (tundra tie rod OD).

Very late but I ended up fixing the problem using a rubber drain connector with steel clamps, cutting it to fit the size of the hole and then steel clamping it and it worked perfectly
