Compared to Toyota engines they seem it. 1gr seems to be around $2500, and then there’s. Hard to tell if we’re comparing equal condition motors tho.

Good deal for a solid 6.0 core

I was pretty surprised when planning my swap at the power a "junkyard LS" swap actually put down at the wheels, an off the shelf 5.3 with no real build is... not great.

Obviously being selective with what the core actually is... and actually building the motor yield fantastic results!

but the mass produced Toyota motors are pretty cheap! I got my 2GR for $600 and it has been thru a lot

That’s fair. I feel like getting into a used LS is cheap, but once you have to crack it open it’s about the same as other motors.

just spent a few minutes in your build thread, very very cool.

LS might be slightly cheaper to rebuild still if you have to compared to a Toyota engine. But yeah price certainly goes up if you don't intend to use it as is. The big money on a 1st gen is making the exhaust and oil pan work. The options aren't super cheap if you're not going to make it yourself.

Just weird how the manufacturer of your cam setup specifically required Fat32

Lot of low buck electronics do that. Fat32 doesn't have licensing fees like NTFS and isn't platform specific like EXT3/4 or AFS. Only downside to FAT32 is the 4.5gb file size limit

Makes sense; my cheaper ODE only supports FAT32 but the other one uses any format

Is the camera capable of formatting it itself. Sometimes that helps, I've seen some cheaper devices have a bastardized interpretation of fat format.

I did use the cameras format feature after formatting it on the laptop. Maybe I'll try formatting it with the laptop again and not doing the camera format at all and see what happens
