Do you have any plans or ideas for a simpler two crossbar type rack? I was disappointed to learn Yakima still does not have "landing pads" to use the fixed mounting points. I get the popularity of this style rack but every one I've encountered is a bother to use for simple work oriented and boat carry, noisy, and more complicated for winter ice and cleaning.

So far the best I've found is go back to a clip and tower style Yakima or the Sherpa crossbars that have me wonder about noise and ease of removal.

    Thank you.

Totally hear you on that sometimes you just want a simple two-bar setup for practical use without the extra bulk or noise of full-length platform racks.

At the moment, Cali Raised LED doesn’t offer a minimalist two-crossbar roof rack system, especially not one that mounts directly to the factory fixed points on the 2024+ Tacoma. Most of our rack systems, are geared more toward overlanding setups great for gear, RTTs, and light bars—but probably overkill for quick boat hauls or daily work use.

Nothing beats a premium modular roof rack on a long-traveled 4th‑Gen Tacoma! Here’s a pic of one of ours real-world tested in the elements:

If you're running a 2024 Tacoma and want a rack that looks sharp and performs, this one's a killer. Happy to share fitment notes, load capacity details, or experiences from the trail.

It's too bad you don't make a simple crossbar solution for the Toyota mount points, but best wishes with your sales regardless!

Totally hear you on that. A low-profile crossbar setup that bolts right into the Toyota factory bed rail or roof mounts (without going full rack) would fill a nice gap for folks who don’t need the whole shebang. Something minimal for hauling a rooftop tent, storage box, or traction boards, but without the bulk.

Appreciate the good vibes though. If you ever dive into full racks, bed molle panels, or lighting down the line, Cali Raised has some solid bolt-on options that mesh well with Toyota platforms.

Thanks. It seems like a whole lot of us who carry vocational stuff, boats or boards have looked at all this so I'll share there are plenty of bed mount options so you'll have competition if you go into that niche.

This even came up at an area firm that's the US biggest paddle sports dealer and Yakima shop where the Tacoma a high volume vehicle still outsells all the competitors. I bet your already done engineering for mounts only needs the simple brackets like Sherpa sells but with a plastic covered or topped cross bar.

If Yakima would get at it after so much time sleeping on this you'd probably have competition but it was only early this month when their customer service rep said verbally and in an email message that they don't see Landing Pad for 4th gen Tacoma being worked on.
