Yup, fits perfect and just enough room for a washer and nut on top. From the looks of it we got the same size casters.

Since we’re talking about it, I did have a design question that I’m curious if you (or anyone) has an opinion on. Would there be any advantage or disadvantage to having extra length on the center tube in the area I have marked in red below?

I figure the ground is gonna limit downward adjustment before an extra couple of inches there would.

Im going to sleeve the tube under the nut so the acme rod is going to be somewhat sung in there. Would the extra length provide extra stability against lateral force if I’m sitting on it cockeyed or something? Or am I overthinking this and 1” rod is plenty stout to not worry about?

Acme rod is strong AF so you don't have to worry about it breaking

I think running a metal sort of spacer or the sort inside the tube will add tons of strength like we talked about

Maybe a fat delrin spacer even to fill the gap between the tube itself and the acme rod

I started looking at spacers and it dawned on me that cheapest and best available option was probably just jam some 1/8 wall 1 1/4 tube in there. Will neck it down to 1” ID and I can run it the entire length up to the nut

Glad to know I’m overthinking it (like the thickness of my cart shelves )!

Today's buzzing went okay (other than the Slag in my ear). Only two more plates to go.
