Stuff that costs more than my wife thinks.
Appreciate that! Feel free to pm over a few photos, but I won't kick your tires right now - that's definitely down-stream stuff for us right now, since the current setup does desk stuff just fine - I just like to spend money (hence why it was all wish list thinking)

RC crawlers hit hard. Racing RC cars is even worse. Youre replacing wheels/tires every few races. If you race regularly thats once a month you replace all wear items. Plus you are putting goop on the tires, youre using the old stuff as practice wheels/tires and they are completely useless in the end, youre constantly making gear changes based on how the course layout changes etc. And thats all if you only run 1 vehicle. If you run 2, 3 or more per race day that is a multiplier. You can easily spend $1000 a month just on wheels/tires/traction and misc. broken/worn out equipment. Not to mention the fact that a new platform comes out every 24 months for every scale and every model that essentially renders your "old" rig obsolete. Makes you wish you were only into crawlers.

Remember folks, if any of your friends tell you that your short bed Tacoma isn’t a real truck or can’t haul anything.

    IMG_0853.jpg

450 dirtbike and 400 quad in the bed. Tailgate did close and I hauled a 18’ camper 120 miles or so to the desert that weekend.

    Don’t let the haters hate.

For a guy that doesn't want to go crazy with the RC game.... what is a good rc crawler/ basher/ go fast in the dirt/ maybe jump some shit in the backyard rig? Just want something decent and all around fun to play with that doesn't break the bank and is an all in one purchase. I watch that Kevin Talbot guy on YouTube all the time and he does some pretty crazy testing on shit. But hard to put it all into perspective when actually looking at stuff. Something under a grand at most but also something that isn't going to break right away.... any suggestions?

If you remove crawler from that equation then just get any basher that looks cool to you. Bashers are capable of everything except going slow haha. A grand is plenty of budget to get a fun basher and also a cheap crawler. I think the 1/24 scale crawlers are the most fun. They are way more capable out of the box than youd expect so you wont feel the need to modify it right away. And they are mostly under $200.

Anyone need newborn diapers? Ive got a few hundred Kirkland size 1 diapers that I dont need. These things are surprisingly hard to get rid of. The Arizona diaper bank is only open on mondays for a few hours which is wild and there doesnt seem to be a lot of other places that accept donated diapers. Anybody know of a place that will take them?

In Louisiana, somewhere around Merryville and Newton on 190, I saw two Delta 88's full of old people on blood thinners have an offset head on collision in a rain storm. I didn't have a Mass Casualty Bag but I was carrying a S-Load of diapers. Can confirm that diapers hold a LOT of blood. 911 was backed up from flooding and accidents so by the time the first unit got to us it had been 45 minutes to an hour. There were two cars that looked like Vince and Jules tried to clean them up with Pampers and a bunch of geriatrics that had duct tape compressing diapers on them.

Another reason I can justify buying that borescope today, peeking into my diff and transfer case as I changed the fluid lol.

It's actually super helpful to peek in there and see if you're actually full up or did you just dribble a bit.

I decided to upgrade to a new NextBase dash cam because the old one had a dead internal battery ... probably the AZ heat. To have "Intelligent Parking Mode" without rewiring the truck I wanted a usable battery.

I had to ask for help finding the unit which I assumed was in the back stock room. I wanted a model 622 but I only saw a box with model number 229. :anonymous:

Quick qustion. Mt 2014 2.7l just went into limp mode 25 miles from Las Cruces NM. Any suggestions? I disconnected my battery for a minute and that didn't help.

Well for only the second time in 40 years I've been stranded overnight by a Toyota regular cab pickup. The first time was a clutch slave that I had to wait for a 10mm tubing wrench, and this time is yet to be determined. The Toyota dealer is 1.1 miles from the hotel. Do I limp it over or do I pay another towing charge?

There's only like 3 things that will put a manual truck in limp mode... probably a cam, crank, or airflow sensor or something associated.
