I was reading a car magazine in the 60's and I was excited to show my mom the really cool new headlights on the corvette, they opened up. She laughed and said that's not new my Cord had that in the 30's. Yup, single woman working full time in SF, taking flying lessons and driving a yellow cord. There was a hand crank on the dash for the lights. Way to go mom!

Here's a few more bike pics.
This is a 1950s Firestone made by cwc, stands for Cleveland welding company. I did a light restoration on it, painted parts of the frame and the rims, new spokes. I saved as much of the original bike as possible, decals etc.
    20210227_130446.jpg
The day he picked it up from me, he's very happy with it. In the 50s if you where a boy that had a bike like this you would think you where pretty cool.

This is a modern schwinn metro. What is unique about this stur.y archer 3 speed is that its also a coaster brake, kinda rare. I fixed this bike up for our daughter. My Betty made the saddle bags.
    20210605_145414.jpg
    The daughter loved it!

I have lots of bikes to fix up and sell when I retire. There's more than what's in this picture. I've even got a 5 speed schwinn tandem, last year of the fat tire model.

    The list is growing.
I used scrubbing bubbles. Mine took more than a few tries. But it does the job. Trying to clean with soap am water,formula409, and other quick remedies was futile. This time, because of our recent move I grabbed the first thing I saw. Scrubbing bubbles. Voila.

Yes sir Centerline auto drag wheels were all the rage back in the 70' and 80's . Now it's Weld racing , those became the go to racing wheels in the mid 80's , That's the wheels on my Camaro right now and those are Weld Drag Lites

    Evening all:

These are my favorite wheels, Crager SS. I have the 4 hubcaps on it now, but I always liked this look the best.

We just cancelled a Mexican Riviera cruise as Maureen fell and broke her hand and banged herself up. Looking to go somewhere just haven’t finalized anything. When I retired we went on the New England cruise. It was quite nice. We had hoped for the fall colors but we were a little early. Actually we’re looking at another Alaska cruise, just can’t get enough of Alaska

So sorry to hear about Maureen . Hope she recoups fast. We have been having our bouts with doctor visits but we are on the upswing .
This is only our 4th cruise. Deb doesn't like cruising but I find it a bit relaxing. We are booked for Dec 30 to April 1st in St. Marten. Cant take the cold like I did when I was younger . Have a good night.

Yes inland passage and whale watching. We even had killer whales cruising along side the ship. Alaska is amazing
