    HELP!!!!!!
    People/you tube/manual are NOT helping me:angrygirl:
I inherited my mom 2008 Toyota Sienna CE s automatic tranny. And the twin radiator fans keep shutting off causing the engine to run hotte than normal. It's not overheating, but I can smell that "this car it HOT" and not in the 442 kinda hot eithero_O. Any tips/suggestions/ideas before I go back to the machanic and they try to screw me? Of course the brat didn't do it while they had it:annoyed:

There is a temp sensor somewhere that turns the fans on when needed, off when not.

I'd start with testing to determine temps when they come on and off. A scan tool of some type is probably the easiest way to do that.

Radiator fans aren't gona run all the time especially when the A/C isn't on.

The 08 Sienna has linear fan control so they should speed up and slow down with temperature and A/C operation, your saying they aren't doing that?

What is actual engine temp read via OBDII (not the temp the gauge shows)?

Yeah.....so apparently it is functioning exactly the way it's supposed to. And I've wasted entirely too much time on a non existent problem if the FIRST mechanic had told me that I woulda been done, but noooo
