We’re camping at Dinkey Creek campground this weekend and are going to do Bald Mnt OHV road. Just wondering on the condition of the trail and if any TW members will be out there. I’ve done the trail once before about 5 years ago so mostly looking for a trail report.

Sorry I don't have an answer for you (although this is a few days after you planned on making the trip out there) but is Bald Mountain the area about 40 minutes away from Santa Rosa near Kenwood?

Would fall in the SoCal region, though technically we're in the Central Valley.

Bald Mountain is easy, can get up there with a car even.

There was a recent midnight run a few days ago, seems the trail is still good to go.

Interesting. I looked up bald Mountain and Google maps showed a location near Kenwood and Sugarloaf Ridge State Park but when I Google Bald Mountain Shaver Lake directly, it shows the location on Fresno County. Both spots have user added photos that shows the same fire place look out tower. Guess there's an error on Maps.

If there's another Bald Mountain, I won't know it.

I only knew he was referring to the one near me because he mentioned Dinkey Creek, and that's all in the Fresno County.

Apparently there's just a bunch of mountains and summits named Bald Mountain. The actual OHV Bald Mountain is in fact the one near Shaver Lake.
