I was under the truck today and saw the rear transmission mount. I was wondering if it looks good? Thanks IMG_4648.jpg

All kinds 3 inch body lift/2 1/2 suspension lift. 31/11 1/2/15 tires All work done by myself for years. The only work performed by mechanic was fuel pumps. I also have a 90 Mustang 350 hp and I can never understand how come my Tacoma gets more respect Just got a 99 Jeep TJ that I rebuilt, and painted in the garage
    Good to me.

If you decide to replace it, run the part numbers for a 99 4runner. For some reason, the 99 (and maybe others) manual trans trucks have a weird part number that is never correct from parts stores. But the 4runner version is the same.

Have a good look at Timmy's video (above). IIRC it starts off by showing how to check if the transmission mount is loose or needs to be replaced.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
the real test is if you can lift the transmission off the mount .

Though that looks in great shape.

Bumping this old old thread to see if anyone has a good part number for my 99 5mt 5vzfe taco. I was wondering why my clutch was stuttering. Turns out one side of my transmission mount is completely sheared off:bananadead:. I think the correct part number is 12371-07020 but seems to be discontinued. (It looks like the tundra 5mt part looks very similar 12371-62160)

picture for reference (yes I know I have a transfer case leak, going to address it soonish):

All you can tell from your photo is that something's leaking.

I’ve done the diagnostic, got the leak figured out. Please disregard the leak.

The 4Runner part number for the 5vzfe r150f mount looks completely different from the Tacoma one. Looking for guidance before I go aftermarket. First one lasted 265k, OEM if I can.

I was told by multiple dealers that no OEM Tacoma transmission mounts were in stock and they had been discontinued (mounts for 5vz/R150F trucks) a couple years back.

So I went aftermarket with the 4xinnovations mount. Pretty pleased with it overall, but interested in the OEM 4runner option too, because the 4xinnovations mount does send a lot of vibrations into the cab at idle.

Are you running poly engine mounts as well? More vibrations are my worries as well.

never heard of people using the 4Runner mounts, what part number are people using?

No I have OEM rubber motor mounts (replaced less than 2 years ago). The 4xinnovations mount is really solid and well built. But it only uses 2 small poly bushings within it to absorb all the vibration, and the cab vibrates quite a bit at idle as a result. I've gotten used to it, but at times still wish I could buy a new OEM transmission mount.

I'm looking for the 4runner mount part # now.

Thank you man! Will look into it, if you know of any posts that discuss using the 4 runner mount in the Tacoma I would appreciate any links or info.
Don’t really want to buy a cheap aftermarket one.
