3.5" Foam Cell Pro Suspension Lift Kit for Toyota Tacoma (2024+) https://share.google/IhoroSZQ2xeU63CAs

Has anyone installed these? Is sounds awesome. How do they compare to Kings 2.5 or fox shocks?

I have only seen that long bed SR5 on Kings, some trucks with the Toyota lift and maybe some spacer or collar lifts on here. There aren't too many Tacoma out there with aftermarket lifts or shocks. And that Solar Octane truck with an Icon kit. I'm probably forgetting someone, but there aren't that many lifted 4Gs I don't think I have seen a lifted 4G on the road.

My only concern, especially with 3.5" of lift is the CV axles. The "factory" TRD 2.5" kit comes with new (longer?) CVs.

Some say the ORs come with longer/different CVs than the Sports/SR5s but you can't even order the factory lift (on Toyota build site) for a Sport or SR5. Then again, the SEMA Tacoma with a 2.5 lift was an SR5.

Is the Ironman kit height adjustable? I thought foamcell on 3G had front coilovers. Lower it to 2.5 or lower.

The TRD kit does seem confusing if the kit as different CVs it shouldn't matter what trim the new CVs go on. Unless the sway bar disconnect is required, which it probably isn't. Maybe Toyota wants to put people in the OR and let them have access to it over other customers. It would make more sense if the OR CV is different and required for the kit, which I think you was getting at.

Swapping in the new or Offroad CV in addition to any aftermarket lift could be a good option.

The Ironman kit includes a diff drop. That would solve the CV problem, but introduce a pinion angle problem? Wonder if you could run the Ironman kit without the diff drop but with longer oem CVs.

King or Fox shocks are in a world of their own. your gonna drive the truck harder for longer and beat the crap out of it more. Pros and cons and it really depends on how you intend to use the truck, to see if the performance increase will even be used. only benefit is they are easily rebuildable if you have some mechanical skills.

Ive had kings on my 2nd and 3rd gens and they always preform. But i decided to not spend 4-5k and go with this kit from Eibach for my 4g https://eibach.com/product/E80-82-105-01-22?epsid=3493. I feel just getting the better springs in there is worth it. I usually always swap my king springs to eibach because they last much longer. 46mm piston is 1.811" so its not too far off the size of a piston in a 2.5" body shock (approc 2.188"). Eibach has also been making shocks since the early 2000's so they are not new to the game.

So far its preformed beyond my expectations and leaves the money i would have spent on kings for other things. Like the ridiculous price of wheels/tires and vehicle frame/body/drivetrain protection.

Not for nothin, but that apparently small increase in piston diameter actually means a 46% increase in piston area: 2.57 in^2 vs 3.76in^2.

still, the kings are probably overkill for most….but damn they look so pretty and I want ‘em anyway.
