My main concern is fleas. My area we don't find alot of ticks. Not sure why. But the stray cats is ridiculous in my area. And aspca/animal control won't do a thing about it. And that in its self pisses me off. They carry fleas, tear up my garden use under my porch for a bathroom, it's smell like ammonia. Drives me up a wall

But alot of the more rural areas closer to my brothers house he said ticks are bad. He said all the chickens he has, has been helping with that. But it's still bad.

Yesterday I was supposed to clean out under my porch and spay it with precor which is a igr made for killing fleas. But I wasn't feeling well. Plan on doing that today. Plus all of my sheps balls are under the porch I counted 15 yesterday.

Morning Pa. Good game against the Mets last night, 9-1. Brey had 3 run homer. First I've been able to sit down and watch a game for a bit. Headed into FIL's old apartment today finish up moving him out. Knee thumping pretty good after shot but gotta get done today. Walk through on the 30th. Happy Saturday all...

First, I like almost all animals, and I love cats and dogs, but I don't have much tolerance for other people's animals coming onto my property and doing damage. I realize the cats you mention may be feral and belong to no one but if the local agencies who are supposed to help, won't help, then it's time to take matters into your own hands. Would a local shelter accept the cats if you showed up at their door with them? Some hardware stores rent Hav-a-Heart traps which are pretty effective. Just throwing an idea out there...good luck.

:pccoffee:  PA peeps/wannabes/bug haters. I just read about a storm event in Fleetwood, very localized but very severe, on Thursday night. Looks like one of those straight line wind things. Blew a bunch of trees and power lines down, and blew out a couple of barns. Pretty nasty. A very strong tornado passed right through that same area a bunch of years ago too.

Man these strays are smart. I've tried trapping them. What i get instead, I've got the same skunk 3 times. Two raccoons and groundhog I have yet to capture said cats. Years ago I got some of the cats and called animal control to come pick them up. Which they gave me shit but eventually came and got them. Im also highly allergic to cats. I cant even get within 15ft of them before I start having allergic reactions.

I have trapped several raccoons on my property, but my biggest fear is trapping a skunk, and they are known to be in the area. I would have no idea how to get it to my vehicle and relocated miles away without me or the vehicle getting sprayed. As far as the smart cats, and as a last, desperate, all other options exhausted effort, a suppressed bolt action .22 caliber rifle is amazingly quiet.
