Looks good but dont work. Truck is not happy even with 488s and 300whp. If I ever make the jump to 37s it will be a 37x11.5.

    Why isn't it "happy"?

    RPM torque range?

    Doggy in the lower RPM's?

smashed this, broke that, covered it up with tape and paint
I was always under the impression for 35’s+ that 5.29 performed better.
But I never ran 4.88 to compare
And my Silverado runs 4.10 for 35’s but has significantly more than 300whp so maybe not as comparable either

Im running 488's+35's( 11.5) I have 0 issues getting it going, N/A with some items. When I went from 33-35's I found the truck really started to pull more from 2800-4200, like 488's+33's was to low.
However, I do maintain the VVTi filters and solenoids, these can and do get clogged and become sticky the more you play in the dirt, no matter the air filter/oil filter.

Just felt like every bit of the suspension movement was bogged down and heavy, like a delayed reaction. Each corner came in at 97lbs. Compared to 84lb with the 35x11.5.

Maybe I just have to get used to it.
Also going from a AT to a MT I can feel every lug on the tire at 10mph and below

ooh ya, tire weight does make a difference and why I am running toyo open AT III , lighter than my M/T's .when I had 34's I played with AT-MT and found the mt's really made a difference with performance.

I've been really happy with my MT Baja Boss 255/85/17 @ 64 lbs each; one of the lightest 35" tires I've found.

Looking at 37's everything is much, much heavier.

So after driving on them for a few hours I have decided to start cutting. Yolo.

I run this tire and size as well. I noticed a significant difference in compliance compared to by toyo's trail being E rated.

I'm also running 4.88s with a manual trans and I honestly think it's too low. I would move back to my 4.30s and buy a northwest eoc crawler box.

Them @drtfabrication spindles showed up and definitely look to be worth the wait. Especially since I’m too busy to put em on until probably august. But damn they look beautiful.

Alright, how are you guys controlling external electric fans? I have burnt up a busman box, and now my MSD SSR is cooked from exposure. I want something nicer than 4 waterproof relays screwed to the inside of my bed with spaghetti coming out of them.

    what are you doing? @tacotunner06
