Well the tank is what I came for but that ended up being a bust

 

What ports does it have on top

 

He says the only difference is the location of the send unit

 

You needed a transmission and bellhousing too tho?

I already got the transmission the other day

 

That actually might work with those ports but I can tell now that the fuel feed one is going to be wrong. Research is always the buyers responsibility

So you need a driveline and fuel tank.

 

Wdym, like the hose length would be wrong?

 

No the older trucks like you have attached with a flare fitting and that tank you have uses a barb. The other two hoses will probably work as is. Might have to put a little longer piece of hose on them.

 

Well I went back and said “I know it’s totally my fault for not researching it and I wouldn’t be mad if you didn’t take it back, but would you be willing to?” And he gave me my money back. So that’s where we’re at now. It sounds like I should just wait for a 96-00 tank to come up on Marketplace.

 

Depending on how long you're planning to wait I might be able to give you mine. I have a spare 96-00 sending unit but no idea if it'd fit that tank you found

 

Having grown up with Legos, I find this stuff oddly satisfying

Yea like I said I would have totally understood if he wasn’t willing to take it back

 

spent some time doing my least favorite thing in the shop, cleaning

turns out the shopping carts people keep leaving in the yard are great organizational tools. one cart can hold a complete dana 44 and additional parts lol

 

I'm hopeful it will be but I have less and less time these days to get my stuff done unfortunately.

 

I feel like I could actually use one of those. But unfortunately I'm not close enough to a store I guess

 

lol, not close enough to the hood id reckon. the closest store with carts I can think of is more than a mile away
