I make my raceways using cheap washers with anti chafe grommets inserted.

I weld the washers to the frame and pop in the grommets.

    Quick and cheap.

I used one of these on my small trailer when I redid it a couple years ago, it's a game changer for sure.

Been using these LED lights for awhile now.

I like the backup light incorporated with brake and running light. They very bright. The reverse lights really shine when backing up a trailer in the dark...no pun intended lol.

This trailer is going to haul a SxS off road vehicle. I'm sure there will be times when he gets to the campsite after dark and these will help.

Decided to deck the thing and get it done. We already had the a/c on, so took advantage of working in the cool.

you've got me re-thinking the setup i just did to my trailer. indiana isn't much better for weather...

i just finished cutting and bending conduit along the perimeter of the frame to contain all the wire and protect it from damage. maybe i should just weld some tabs to hold the wiring inside the c-channel where it needs to be and call it a day...

there's also a few 10-pole versions as well. i use them at work on most truck builds. makes breaking out stop/tail/turn, and adding strobes and additional lighting circuits far easier.

Bud sent me a pic of the SxS on the trailer. Said it fits perfectly!

Also his stepson was amazed at the transformation.771291293_20250610_193641.jpg

Bud sent me a before pic of the trailer.

Those are 15" trailer tires. So you can see how high it sat before got into it.

Not sure why I’ve never thought of reverse lights for the drift boat trailer before, but my next one will definitely be getting a pair of those! FS ramps after dark are a PITA sometimes.

I got time. You want a set installed?

You do need to have the 7 pin RV plug for them to be functional.

I didnt pay attention if your truck had that feature.

    Thanks Kirk,
Very kind, but I’ve been blessed with “bullet proof” trailer wiring. 3G Tacos have 4&7 pin on the bumper (at least all the ones I’ve seen).

OTOH, I’ve got a 15 YO Michigan trailer, and the only electric issue it’s had is replacing 1 side-marker. 15 MI boat trailer years - pretty sure that’s at least 30 normal trailer years..

If it ain’t broke, don’t try to “improve it”. Those sheet metal baffles riveted in to the rear fenders play a huge role in longevity. Not my idea, but highly recommend…

    Best,

    Brian

I would agree. Michigan trailer light years are similar to dog years. 15 years is stellar!

This is a new one. Get to fix the deck on this trailer IMG_2269_20250628_092404.jpgCustomer does amateur rib grilling/smoking contests at various cities around the area.

Hauls his smoker on a utility trailer to and from events.

Bottom fell out of the smoker on the way home. Told me the rough Michigan roads caused the wood embers to fall thru the bottom of smoker and set his trailer on fire. I'm laughing to myself thinking about this picture. The peeps driving behind him must have a story to tell. I'd bet oak wood embers exposed to 50 mph winds would be pretty noticable. Bet it smelled good with rib grease residuals too. Lol.

I'm sure I'll get the contract to patch the smoker as well.
