Ace is a shooting simulator for the Meta Quest Googles. It is amazing, I use it everyday. There are tons of USPSA style shooting drills. Anybody else here on it?

Well not much interest in this thread but ACE is an incredible training tool. I have hit 100,000 rounds fired and completed over 6,800 drills. How much do you think my pistol shooting has improved over the course of that training? A chit load is how much it has improved

This interests me but I have a couple questions. How much has your real life range shooting improved? How do you measure that? What guns do you use at the range and what caliber? Has it improved accuracy in not only target shooting but also in training such as shooting while moving left or right? Shooting with one hand then the other? Shooting on your knees, laying down, etc? Has accuracy improved at longer distances?
I ask all this because I am interested in something like Ace but want to know it improves real world shooting situations.

Not gonna lie, I was excited about the idea and didn’t even mind the $200 tag for the gun. But I’m put off with subscriptions! Everything in life now has one and it bugs me! If I’m going to drop $200, give me the damn app!

Without having actually used anything like this I have to ask how does using it and developing habits relative to the device affect you? I've found with other simulations and things like airsoft, etc. i can't always carry over my actual training to these, even just the trigger specific stuff.

I use STRIKEMAN. You use your pistol with a laser beam bullet. You buy what ever size bullet for your pistol and their target. Down load their app and start practicing. Check them out. It really works.

Real world shooting is definitely improved, both in terms of accuracy and speed.

I still do dry fire with my real pistol and one of those $20 laser beam cartridges from Amazon.

I’m very frugal so I hear you bro, but the monthly sub for ACE is probably the best money I spend.

Srtikeman had a deal for Fathers Day, The Target and 1 Bullet for $88.00. And you dont need a Subscription. You download the App for free onto your phone.

Have you seen ACE? Check out the YouTube videos. Strikeman does not compare.

Here’s a video of someone using ACE. The video is not great because the sights don’t line up, but when playing the game your view of your irons or dot is just like a real pistol. As you can see, it’s light years ahead of traditional dry fire training. And it’s continuously updated with new stages and so forth, so it’s not static. In my mind, that very much justifies the monthly fee which I believe is only $15 if paid in advance. I’m not an ACE salesman, just a happy customer. I don’t care if anyone uses it or not. But I love it and wanted to share.

So you don't get to use your own Personal Firearm with Ace?

You use a special handset that has the weight, feel and two stage trigger pull of a real pistol.

But again, no recoil management, no shot timing and after seeing that video, no spatial eye to sight alignment considerations.

How are you currently training recoil management outside of live fire?

Dot acquisition/iron sight alignment is identical between Ace and a real pistol. I mentioned in my intro to the videos that they miss the actual game experience of lining up the sights.

So you aren't getting used to you your own firearm by using their toy. You aren't using your trigger or your sights.
