i havent seen it personally or pictures yet but soon i as i do i will update the thread...it is a 98 trd xcab 4x4 3.4 with 150k for 5500!!! the catch, i guess the body is pretty F*%&ed up but no biggie right? 4x4 only, well daily driver but who needs looks haha...i do prefer looks tho lol...is it possible to get a cab and bed through toyota? another thing is i do not have the accessories for the task...i would defintly go junk yard shopping for a cab and bed but usually not to much luck if its a junk yard right?
where else could i look for a cab and bed???

the reason he is selling...because at first he was going to turn it into a crawler and decided to go with a dc instead...he got the truck for cheap and only wants what he paid into it...its located in klamath falls oregon which im in cali...so possibly smog issue...soon as i get more info on the truck i will update but for now...

thanks, and opinions are very welcomed

I picked up a 2000 trd 4x4 v6 with 130k miles on it for $7500. And it is in pristine condition. For one there will be a salvage title if you swap cabs. Also if it is damaged that bad I would be worried about the frame. If you look around ALOT you will be able to find a clean truck similar to the one you found for a grand or 2 more. Just be patient and look on craigslist everyday as well as autotrader and carsoup.

I dont think its that superb of a deal. Banged up body could be an indication of someone that doesnt take care of his things...
Its a buyers market, but when a good deal on a truck comes up, you have to move quick.

If you're looking in Oregon, this is the best deal I've seen in Portland.

    http://portland.craigslist.org/clc/cto/2340556169.html

Its a '97 with only 98k miles, asking $8k. Seems like a good deal, assuming it checks out in person.

I paid $7500 for my '97 with 140k, and that was the best deal by far I could find at the time.
