Sorry, I love bread. I've done the keto thing and cut carbs and for me it's just not sustainable. I'm old and fat and damn it I'm going to enjoy my bread. Not the crap you get in grocery stores but good breads from a bakery without all the garbage ingredients. Good sourdough, rye, pumpernickel, etc.

I wish there was a good sourdough bread anywhere close to me. I don't know of a bakery within a hundred miles... and because of that I can't say I know of a "good" bakery at all since I won't drive a hundred miles to visit a bakery.

That is a sad truth in many areas. Start up costs are a bit high but if someone with a bit of knowledge and super hard work ethic and can get started early a bakery can niche into most areas. There were few to none here, now there is a good number of bakeries and they are all quite successful. Heck Kodiak AK has a couple bakeries

I will say this good flour sourdough does not cause me to have gross weight gain

    Morning all:

Good bread is--- well, just GOOD!
There WAS a bakery near me that made a 7 grain bread that was absolutely DELICIOUS, a new owner took over and their 7 grain bread wasn't even close to the bread that I had bought from the original owner.

Just got done with church, I serve when I'm there with set up and clean up, etc.
Now at the favorite pizza place and ordered a nice 8 corner chicken bacon ranch pizza with a large garden salad.
It's hot here and we don't want to cook and heat up the kitchen. Sometimes it's good to be lazy and let someone else cook. It's a treat!

For those looking for a good bread bakery, I submit you should look no further than your own kitchen. Learning to bake sourdough does take a little patience, but once mastered, I figure I invest less than an hour per loaf, spread out over a one to three day span.

Novice yet. She is getting more and more anxious, dreading a trip to dmv. Early start. Monday. At least the dmv office is directly on her way to her work

    Afternoon all:

Another TEST, just finished up cutting poison ivy back on a tree that it's growing on. When I string trim around that tree the poison ivy leaves would sometimes brush my face and didn't do any harm, started thinking, what if I got brushed in the eye, that might not be good, and I really don't want to find out, better safe than sorry!

Out here we have poison oak. Of yeah I’m super allergic to it. I start itching just looking at a picture of it. Missed a week of classes in high school once and in the 70’s was out of work for a week. Gotta be careful too if you have dogs. They aren’t allergic to it but they walk through it get the oil on their fur. You pet them which transfers the oil to you , then everywhere you touch you spread the poison oak. You don’t know til the rash breaks out in a day or two then it’s way too late, you’re screwed. Oh and never burn it and breathe in any of the smoke, You’ll end up in the hospital. Carl wear goggles, long sleeves and long pants. When done throw the clothes in the washer and take a long soapy shower. Damn I hate that shit.
