Just to chime in quickly. Downsizing is a challenge and its surprising how the things you think are valuable are only worth what someone is willing to pay. Also surprised family was not interested in much. We did 2 yard sales and the first one went extremely well but second one not so well namely because of heat. Next is flea markets, auctions and consignment stores. Family not interested in much because they see stuff as clutter and don't want it. Some have big new homes and nothing in them. Our world has changed. Even photo albums are no interest to them with everything on their i phones now.
The diecasts I'm letting go are also still mostly sitting but should move at the flea markets along with other collectables my wife has. I did sell a lot of my artist prints and don't have many left.
I'm still doing custom builds here and there with Hot Wheels and 1/24 diecasts but not in assembly lines like i previously was.
All of this really makes me think now about purchases we made over the years and how we are stuck with things now. It was still money well spent and we enjoyed what we have. I told my wife if we don't sell it when we are gone it wont matter. Its someone else's problem now. Ill be busy with this until fall and hopefully back on Taco World again.
I've taken a few peeks here and there to see what's going on and read a few pages. Take care.

 

I pulled the GTO and the Volvo gasser (ya know where that’s going). Anyone else want singles from this before they go in the kiddo grab bag?

Apparently my dog Charlie bandit sent me a custom carded hot wheel for Father’s Day. It arrived a little bit late. I guess it got lost in the mail.

I need to update my available trades list in the morning. Hopefully i can hook some of you guys up

 

I need to do the same… pull everything out. Got rid of a lot, but I got Chevy and other stuff I need to document. I couldn’t find my brat and the one for my buddy in a quick search, but I know it’s there. I started using the 5 card holders to make it easier. I may get the slider style for handling traders, since those are 10 I think and easier to quickly remove. My problem is the variety I collect, which isn’t limited to just HotWheels/Matchbox mainline.

I cleared everything I wasn’t committed to or was on the fence about. I probably should’ve done a going away post, but I figured if it wasn’t claimed when first posted, it wasn’t a wish list. It was several boxes of stuff sorted by theme or price. The simple kid stuff gets sent off to kiddos. I fill up those dollar store HotWheels containers or the Dollar General HotWheels tire and they become Family Services grabbers for kids in transition or need.
