I’ll look, show is the wrong word though. More like a movie about it. Kinda old but I hadn’t seen it before. At work so I’ll hit you back when I get home later.

Back to the Mesh jacket conundrum
Watched all the videos on RevZilla about the Klim and Revit jackets crunched the numbers. Now I know you guys don't know me but in 98 I was hit buy a taxi cab and I flew through the air. Hitting my head and shoulder left foot took the brunt of the hit. So I'm looking for as much protection as I can get (level 2). Starting to lean towards the Klim induction pro.

Not ashamed to say I'm a fair weather rider, anything over 30% chance of rain no go. Plus I have a rain suit.
Just need to pull the trigger on one of these things.

Coldest I’ve rode in was the 20’s, maybe just under. Don’t mind some rain if I’m not doing anything except riding but usually that’s not the case so anything over 30% chance and I drive lol

I almost always chose to do my off road desert riding alone. I loved the feel of being 20-30 miles deep into the desert by myself.

I was careful. I carried repair tools, patching eq and a mini compressor. I practiced patching tubes and replacing them on my bike at home using only the eq I was going to carry. I carried clothing that would allow me to survive the desert overnight temps. I carried extra water. I carried a satellite communicator I carried on my persons incase I was separated from my bike in the event of a get-off. I also would stop and dismount and walk a section ahead if I was not sure it was navigable. I even carried comfortable shoes to walk in incase I had to walk out.

Thanks but that's not what I'm looking for. Although if I were that would definitely be worth checking out.

For 6 years all I had was my bike, and it didn't matter how cold it was I had to ride to work to pay the bills.

@gixxerphil so it was called Hitting the Apex. That’s what I watched on Prime.

I have the Revit GT-R air 3. Have ridden in the low 90s and it wasn't bad.

Rode up to Chambers lake, then down Laramie River road to Deadman, over to Sand Creek, then back home.
    Chambers.

Starting up Deadman, Laramie River is off to the right, that faint strip in the distance.

Side road that leads to Sand Creek, never been on it before, was very much unused and muddy, almost ate it a few times.

But it was very scenic with the fields along the way. Check out that sexy front wheel as well :D

Result of the muddy ruts I was navigating. Tires wouldn't stay on top between the ruts, so down inside I went, some were close to a foot deep and not much wider. Bent the brake slightly, but it pushed back pretty easy. Thing is as rigid as a noodle from the side. Prolly by design I assume.

    Bullwinkle sighting. In velvet.

Mountain goats. They look pretty rough this time of year.

Broke the 4000 mile mark on the bike finally. Tires are about 40% worn. Ready to order up a new set, do the tubeless mod and ride with more confidence hopefully on the rough stuff. I passed up so many trails just because I knew the tires weren't up to the mud.
I've had my Tundra with the camper all over the place in that area, and I know the bike can do it, but there are some muddy, rocky and wet areas that street tires will leave me struggling.

Narrowed my tire search to Shinko and Motoz, with a serious look at the Kenda's.
Dunlop Trailmax was also considered long and hard, but everyone including the manufacturer says they are near impossible to mount by hand due to stiff sidewalls. Plus very expensive.
I feel the Kenda's are a cheaper cost alternative to the Shinko's. Prolly best left to a dirt oriented bike over an ADV bike. Mentioned because of the price and popular reviews.
    https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/kenda-k784-big-block-tires?sku_id=765264

Shinko's 804/805 are super popular with everyone. I think the cost-vs-performance is the big factor. The Versys crowd seems to love them. Everyone says they wear fast, but for the price, who cares. Lot's of mention of being easy to mount by hand.
    https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/shinko-804-805-big-block-adventure-touring-tires?sku_id=999237

Motoz has a great looking rear tire, but the front dual sport that pairs with it has poor reviews, taken with a grain of salt of course.
    Rear
    https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/motoz-tractionator-adventure-rear-tires?sku_id=10321512
    Front
    https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/motoz-tractionator-dualventure-front-tires?sku_id=10321547

So debating with myself over going full Shinko, or maybe Motoz on the rear and Shinko on the front.

I want to keep stock sizing. The front I have some leeway, but going bigger in the rear will kill what little low end torque I have left. Plus I'm on my toes now, taller won't help that.

Any adv tire is a bear to mount by hand, IMHO. I've mounted tractionator GPS and Trailmax Missions with no issues though, just a lot of sweat and swearing. I went heidenau K60 > Tractionator GPS > Trailmax mission > Trailmax mission (soon). K60 lasted forever but was greasy in the wet, I knew I didn't want another of those.

I liked my motoz tires a lot, but they wore quickly, I think I got 5,000 before it was squared off? You could go with a tractionator gps in the front, I had great luck with that gripping off road, but is definitely more 70/30 than 50/50. Trailmax seem to have really good life for me, I have one sitting on the shelf waiting to go on sometime this summer.

For Revit, aren't most/all of the jackets AA? or you just talking the armor that comes with them? My Tornado was Level 2 (but no back protector). Looks like some of the jackets come with Level 1, but I'd highly recommend just replacing those with Ghost Armor Level 2. Bought 3 sets to upgrade my wife's pants and jackets. Super flexible, and a huge comfort improvement for her. And they're breathable too. They'd be an upgrade for any jacket/pants in my eyes.

I'm actually surprised I found them on Revzilla today. Glad they finally started carrying them. They were a pain to find before Christmas!

d30 ghost is amazing stuff, I was shocked when I first got my set. Revit Seesmart is similar flexibility, from what I hear.

I haven't seen the Seasmart in person, I've just got the Seasoft stuff. Good to know though, I hadn't realized they were similar. I need to see if they have level 2 stuff, as now that I'm thinking about it, I might like to upgrade the pads in my pants. They're level 2, but not very flexible. Maybe the wife can buy me a few sets for Christmas this year, lol.

The Ghost is downright floppy, lol. I shoulda paid more attention to what Rev-it had. She had just done a ton of research and at the time, Ghost was the top of her list.

Either or would likely be good, same stuff really. Not sure this has the D30 though.
