Very interesting. I didn’t know that. So what bump stop height do you recommend for the 14”? I do have the Accutune bump stop with a 1.75” spacer. I think in a bit limited. I asked them about the right size but they gave me some formula that doesn’t quite make sense to me yet.

A design goal of our kit is to NOT have to space bumpstops at all, like you would if you run 10" travel in the stock mounts.

Our Archive bumpstop is 3" tall above the U-bolt plate

    I unde
According to my understanding the bump stop prevents the shock from bottoming out and/or the leaves from hitting the frame right?

Then why don't they just tell people exactly what size bump stop they need for the shock towers and shocks? The formulas they have are so weird to work with.

It depends on leafpack thickness and lower shock tab position too.

So I actually have only 2" left between the bump stop and the frame at ride height. I think even according to Accutune it shouldn't be less than 5"

The purpose is to stop suspension before bottoming shocks, it doesn't matter how many inches you have at ride height if the shock shaft has some space left when the suspension is fully compressed. This is how I played with this, just put a wood block with main leaf only and jack it up to calculate the rest.

Well it matters in the sense that if you have too long of a bump stop you will limit up travel. Ideally the bump stop should be just long enough to prevent the shocks from bottoming out when the tire is fully stuffed. That adds another variable which is tire size and offset. I may be limited by that regardless of how long the bump stop is. I guess I will have to wait until the Chevy springs are installed and measure up travel until the shock bottoms out.

I think there should be a room for tire in any scenario, it should not be a variable in the equation. You clear the path for the tire when your suspension is ready and only a bump stop/straps should be a limiting factor. Otherwise the tire can "make" a room and shocks will be damaged.

Well, say I go up to 40s I may be limited in terms of up travel just by the fact that my tire may hit the edge of the fender way before the shock even bottoms out. In that case, if I can't cut more, I may either have to go wide body or adjust bump stop height so the tire doesn't constantly bang into the fender hence why I'm saying it's a variable. I may be overthinking it. Like I said, once I have the Chevy leafs on with the 14s I will take some measurements. I'm pretty sure I need a shorter bump stop to really get all of the available uptravel.

Will a 2.0 x 14" shock fit with this kit? I know it is designed for 2.5, but looking to get 2.0's as they are cheaper and my shocks are on the way out

Pretty sure they have a relocation kit specifically for 2.0s.

They do. I'm wondering if a 2.0 shock would fit on this kit.

Are you just wanting to keep the ability to move to a 2.5?

First guy asked the same question and that was Erics answer

I have the 2.5 kit installed but I need new shocks and 2.0's are much cheaper. My wheeling only needs 2.0's too

Ah makes sense, according to his previous answer you are good to go with 2.0's

Yes, the 2.0 will fit if as long as the length is in the range, would recommend a Fox 2.0 x 14" Performance series Remote Res valved by AccuTune.
Hose is shorter on the 2.0s tho, you could use our stainless resi mounts and mount resi to rear leg of tower

    Thank you for confirming!

I'm currently running 2.5 x 14 carbon technologies smooth bodies and found a smoking deal on King 2.0 x14 smooth bodies. I know the kings are slightly shorter but this should pose no issue, correct?
