I think being accident free on roadways like the ones we drive every day should come with some kind of rewards program.

Free car insurance for a year? :D

I didn't know what was up when I came out, or I might have brought my pew pew with me.

We get a lot of people who break down and pull into the side road next to our house, so sometimes I'll go over and see if they need any help.

Locals know the cop sits there a lot and pulls people over, so it's rarely anything other than car trouble or someone on the phone.

Only firearm you should never leave one in the chamber because of the universal language of the pump action :oldglory:

There's definitely truth in what everyone is saying. I find that I don't really switch into fight or flight till I feel threatened so it's quite unnatural for me to be threatening until my spider senses go up. But fear not, I've got an aggressive side and a solid leave me alone face. I use it for shopping and walking around town.

However, stuff like this isn't second nature to me. Is that bad? maybe, we do live in a very different world now. Our town is on the list that's had a mass shooting now, but it doesn't even feel real somehow. I know it's all around, but somehow it doesn't really ever come in to my day to day life. My biggest risk is traffic and deer or cows in the road still. I know not to go into town cause town has gotten bad, but honestly I think we're lucky to be very very unscathed where we are. And I think a lot of small town America is probably like that. I could be wrong, but I don't turn on hulk version unless I feel threatened.

Does anyone else feel that way?
