when looking at that mat online, it shows rubber nubs on the bottom.
can you feel these through the mat?
we often just throw some sleeping bags in the back of the truck when we go camping, so we don't have to setup/tear down the tent every time we move.
girlfriend is tiny and probably wouldn't notice, but i'm 230lbs.

Don't know the answer to your question, but those little nubs are your friend when moisture gets under the mat. Do you not use a Therma rest mattress pad under your sleeping bags?

I never felt them. I use an inflatable camp pad that is only partially inflated and then an additional ThermaRest pad when it is cold.

The same thing just happened to me. Bought a mat with the correct part number and marked as having logo, only to get it home, unroll it and find an unmarked mat with a different indentation pattern. I called the dealer and they said the manufacturer had burned down recently and this is what they are getting now to replace the earlier ones. He said it is a Toyota mat but if i am unhappy I can return it. Nothing is easy anymore.

Before returning it, you might want to consider keeping the mat with the straight ribs (no "Tacoma" logo). The angled ribs surrounding the logo make it a PITA to slide heavy cargo into or around the bed: such as old air-conditioners going to the transfer station. Mesh tube bags of sand aren't any picnic either, and neither are bags of gravel.

Things not sliding are why a lot of people buy the mats. :cookiemonster:

If you're hauling something you want to slide in the bed. just take out the mat or roll or fold it to the front. not rocket surgery.

I brought the mat back to the dealer and they were able to get a "Tacoma" branded mat from their distributor. The part shows as DISCONTINUED in the parts catalog but the distributor had a few left in stock. The unmarked Dee Zee mat I received in Toyota packaging before is identitical in material and thickness to the Tacoma branded mat I received today and I assume they are made by the same manufacturer. If these Tacoma brand mats are no longer available, the Dee Zee is identical in quality and rubber nib count, only different in rib pattern.
