A number of years ago I had Best Buy replace my standard radio/CD player (on my 2008 Toyota Tacoma V6 Access Cab) with a Alpine CDE-143BT and Scosche Dash Kit (I think). The bezel is always coming loose. There are two tabs at the top, but they don't seem to hold well, seems too loose. I'm always pressing it back in. I've also had an incident or two where the hazard button got stuck when I pushed it in. The radio seems loose too. I've read some great blogs here about how to replace the old radio. Before I take it apart, I thought I'd ask for any advice.

look at the factory bezel... There will be 3 prongs that plug into the holes that hold the radio bezel in place (top of bezel).. Now look at your aftermarket bezel, look at the 3 prongs. Notice that on the factor bezel there is a "yellow" (mine were yellow) piece that clipped onto the prongs... you need to remove those and add them to the aftermarket bezel. See Photo... There might be more than 3 on yours, i can't quite remember how many for sure..

After messing with my backup camera a few times one day i put the radio back in and my bezel didn’t fit right. I adjusted the radio using the 4 10mm bolts left and right to center it and then tighten down.sounds like you may just need to re tighten the brackets . And for the bezel snap that on last and use a non maring flat edge to pop it into the slots. There’s 4 tabs on the schose trim

I have the same issue. I used a install kit from Metra and have a double din touch screen Kenwood. I removed the yellow clips from the factory radio surround but it still doesn't fully seat. I was going to try and shim things up to see if that helps.

So, I have the same issue from the previous owned of my Tacoma but have managed to fix it…

Grab some zip ties and cut them into ~1/2 inch strips. Then, using a pick (recommend a plastic one but metal can do if you’re careful or have the plastic protectors attached), force them into the gaps. Do it on each side switching off until tight.

    Presto, fixed.

I use the one below to jam ‘em in. It ain’t stupid if it works…

No doubt happy to help! Worst when you push it back in for it to just come out at the slightest bump in the road
