Well boys, the trucks going up for sale in the next couple weeks. It's a 2017 TRD Offroad 4x4 with 85k miles, great condition and exceptionally maintained. With close to 23k in aftermarket parts and upgrades I'm not sure if I want to try and sell as is or start parting it out. Any thoughts/advice?

Happens every year. The intsy-picture person from MA who was abandoned by the PHX police officer 1/2 way on Camelback and she died. The family from MO who on their *first full day* here hiked from 9 AM through 3 PM and the 10-year-old died. Locals who hike difficult trails on South Mountain in heat and at least need rescued. That 20-something girl church group from back east who needed rescued off Camelback.

Maybe I am just jaded from bad decisions my family members made at young ages, but I am somewhat hardened against these reports now.

Not all in my family or by me, but there are certain events. And I am old enough to have seen friends make questionable decisions as well to know you cannot save everybody.

Stuff that costs more than my wife thinks.
Fast is cheap, good usually doesn't come in either form.

It really just comes down to what you're looking for. If you're trying to maximize your take-home, find someone with takeoffs that is interested in your parts and put in some sweat equity. On the market, you're not going to get your money back pound-for-pound on aftermarket parts UNLESS you find a buyer with similar interests to you - don't get me wrong, there's plenty of done up Tacomas that say there's someone out there, but if you really went the buy-once-cry-once method, you're probably going to have a hard time finding the bought not built buyer.

Tl;Dr - Want to sell quick? Leave the parts on and expect to lose your ass. Willing to put in the work and time to maximize your dollars? Either rip off and switch back to OEM (as best as you can), and sell the parts / truck individually, or be prepared to wait and stand firm on pricing.

Edit - oh, and good luck!

No idea, but curious what you get for it. Thinking about letting my 2017 with 72k go soon. Most dealer offers have been 26k then upped to 28k on trade in. Lots of aftermarket parts that I'll likely pull and keep for another project or just sell.

    Agreed.
We don't need signs posting trail closures to hikers. We need signs posting trail closures to first responders and insurance companies that are willing to add a clause to your health and death benefits that if you die on a trail closed to first responders then all they have to pay out is for a memorial bench at the trail head so people an put their sweaty swamp asses on your brass plack.

I was just taking a short stumble outside the house and the sky is not deep blue ... it is more white with just hints of blue in the mix.

    Unusual.

20% chance of wet stuff in North Phoenix tonight. Stronger winds too. Might help.

But then that fire in Cleator is just going to dump more haze on us tomorrow.

Crown King must be suffering. Deep remote space to be at such risk.

I seriously rely on this app so much that I should pay for a subscription and then write it off as a business expense.

And monsoon season starts soon if not already. Non-soons may have occurred for a couple of years but this year may be a soaker.

Anyone have time to help with a set if drum brakes?? Helping out a co worker on his car and ran into a little trouble with some adjustment and could use a hand?? Wouldn't be till after 4pm tomorrow at my place in the J..
We got the new pads and shoes on but cant seem to dial the e brake cable. Also we bumped the brake pedal while the shoe was off so ill need to crack the bleeder and release some pressure. Been a hell of a day and just had enough. Time for me to pull a favor!

PS. Thanks for the AC info, replace the resistor and cure the problem, $22 buck and about 10min of work!
