Dealer here has 106 2024 tacomas on the lot that are affected by the stop sale. They told me supposedly that I will be lifted this July. When I was there test driving a 2025 Hybrid in March they had them all marked down only $2700 to $3500. I went and test drove a non hybrid last week and now all of the the one's with the stop sale no longer have pricing. They told me they removed the dealer discount because they are pending word from Toyota as to a manufacturer discount. The 2024 affected by the stop sale that I was interested in has been sitting on the lot for over 8 months. They don't negotiate up here on the other vehicles because in Anchorage they're the only game in town. I am wondering what you guys think about how much you would expect off of a 2024 with a stop sale after its lifted. Part of me doesn't want a truck that's been sitting that long but if it's like $8k off or so I would consider it. Any thoughts? They were trying to get me to put a deposit on one with the stop sale which is hilarious because I'm not reserving a vehicle that I have no idea at all what the price will be. Unless it's a significant discount I will just go with a 2025.

It seems crazy they got stuck with over a hundred vehicles they can’t sell. When the stop sale ends, I imagine there will be huge discounts. We’re in the second half of calendar year 2025 and well into the 2025 model year. Heck, they’ll be announcing 2026 model year colors and pricing soon.

You should get a minimum of 10% off MSRP for those 2024. With depreciation, more like 20%.

Need some advice from my 4th gen tw dudes as a 1st gen guy looking to finally make the jump.

2024 CPO sr5, upgrade with the cold weather package. 7k miles, upgraded and new method with 32 toyo at3's 40k before TTL.

Debating on a 4th gen or getting a 2016 TRD 3rd gen for 30k that's got 40k on the clock. Its a hard choice currently.

I have one carseat that I have to fit in the back, but don't want to go full-sized yet, don't need that much truck.

Sounds like you like to hang onto your vehicles for a while. If so, go full sized now. Kids grow fast!

Did you test drive them both? Car seats are doable in these trucks but suck. You have to move front seats around to accommodate. When we purchased our 2020 3rd gen, our son thankfully had just transitioned to a booster seat.

Yes, I did. My kids' carseat in the 24' Tacoma is touching the back of the front seat, but leaves enough room for my wife, who is 5'5 feet, not a lot but enough. I might even just bite the bullet and suck it up and get a Rav-4 since my wife drives a Tahoe and use her car as the "truck". I've just driven Tacomas my whole life, so it would be a hard shift. I don't need a full-size as we can tow with the Tahoe, and it's the "family car". I just need to fit my kid (maybe a second one on the way soon) in my car for pick-ups and drop-offs.

I got numbers on a 2025 SR5 4x4. 44.5k after TTL OTD. 2.5k off MSRP. Not bad. A premium Rav hybrid is about the same price. 43.5 OTD.

Got my 2nd gen Tacoma TRD Sport in 2013, kids fit great. Camped our brains out towing our trailer all over the country. Made many good memories. In Dec. 2015 we're headed up to VA to see family and my daughter complained the whole way that she didn't have enough room. Before I knew it, I had the fam in a 2015 F150 4 door Ecoboost. Back seat was great, they each had their own private Idaho. Now they're out the house and I am loving the downsize to the Tacoma. I can take them around town in the back seat on the rare occasion they need to travel with us across town. Wifey and I love it on long trips. So....I recommend either full size truck or the 4 Runner if your set on a Toyota.

I agree. Though I only have 1 for now. Planning on two, but it could be a little bit, and my first could be forward-facing by then. Drove the 2024 today and put the car seat in there. The passenger doesn't have too much room, but it's not bad if you're shorter. Really debating it as the price on the truck is pretty good.

2024, 7k miles. Cold weather package and JBL package. 33's and methods for 42k before TTL. Going to sleep on it.

    Appreciate all your input.

Dealer here says stop sale is being lifted on the 2024 and they have over 100 in stock. Laughably they told me the discount is $1,000 and 2.99% APR and asked me how that sounded. It’s funny because back in March that same truck and all the rest were discounted $2700 or more. How much should I ask for off ? I’m thinking minimum $5,000

I would offer 14% off the MSRP factory sticker.

Hmmmm, where is "dealer here" ? Could be worth a plane ticket to fly to your locale, buy and drive home....
