My Taco 3rd Gen Engine keeps dying for 1/2 sec when hitting rev limiter on 2WD,4H,4L

    YW tune, 5.29s, equal length dual exhaust, 2000w audio system
    7200 is safe but ok. 2GR pulls well past 6300, do some research.

    Since you did your research already, what hardware differences are there from the cars that rev to 7000rpm versus the Tacoma that revs to 6200rpm. Hardware as in engine components, is what I’m referring to? Are they exactly part for part the same for the entire long block or does 1 have different part numbers from the other? If so, specifics? Looking for hard details here not some jerk around answer. Thank you in advance.

    The only hardware differences between an IS350 2GRFKS and a Tacomas 2GRFKS is an intake manifold and other minor things. Internals are literally the exact same. It’s more than safe to run a 2GRFKS over 7k, RR racing tune for an FKS has the limiter set at 7300. You won’t benefit much from going past 6700 ish on the stock manifold either.
