We (my wife, her parents and brother) all lived up in Ell Dorado County (between Sacto and Tahoe) for 30++ years, and moved to Kentucky in 2022. Here, it rains at least a couple days every two weeks. We go more than 10 days without rain, and the government and local TV stations all start fretting about "drought" conditions. I laugh my ass off, and explain 'Y'all don't know shit about 'drought' conditions. In California, it rains *maybe* once between April 1 and Thanksgiving. That's why the State burns to the ground every summer, bone dry." I tell people that even in the 1970's, the State and local government entities were trying to get people to always think of water conservation. As a kid growing up in Los Angeles, I recall Mayor Tom Bradley gooing on TV telling people to only flus their toilets once a day, regardless of use. Put a brick in your toilet's water tank to use less water. Only take showers, never a bath, and immediately turn off the water except when you were actually rinsing yourself off.

Kentucky is green and lush year round, except in the deadest part of winter. Every piece of land I have yet seen has at least one small creek running through it year round.

"Drought. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.":rofl::rofl:

Have to take them off to take the cowl off.
Use a step stool. Reference some info to take them off and reinstall.

All, I was able to get both wipers off, removed the cowl, and got to the air intake “portal”. I was a bit surprised to find that my 2017 actually has a hard plastic grill already installed at the factory. And I found the mouse. You can see his head in the picture. I cannot for the life of me, figure out how the bugger got in behind the hard side of the intake portal, but he got his head in there, got stuck, and died.
I had to cut out this factory installed screen in order to pry the sidewall of the portal apart enough to get the mouse with needle nose pliers and remove it. No blood, no mess. Just its dried out carcass.

once I get a new cabin air filter and wire mesh for a new grate, I’ll be back in bi’ness. I will have to YouTube for how to reinstall the wiper arms, as they are spring loaded at the base. Was a PITA to pry them off.
