I'm buying a GX470 to replace my daughter's 98 Maxima. The Max is having some age related issues with instrument cluster. Struts are gone and the MOOG LCAs that I replaced 10 years ago are gone.

It doesn't run. It could be anything from a timing belt to the fan shaft bearing. I'm buying from a friend of mine. They kept it serviced.

So I'll be all Toyota (except for the Civic) and three out of four will be 2UZFEs.

I heard that too, except the story I read was that he stepped in to break up a fight between some guy and his girlfriend that was getting violent, and got jumped by the dude and his friends. That might just be a cover story though who knows lol.

It’s been years since I followed hockey but cool to see folks on the west coast who give a shit! When we moved from Detroit to Tucson all of my friends looked at me like I was Frankenstein whenever I wanted to talk about it… That spark got slowly replaced by football.

Actually my oldest son is looking for a Rig. But he wants something smaller.

There are some economies scale with having a standard platform. I've had five 4th gen Maximas run through the family.

If you were near by, I'd let you use the topside creeper. It saves your back and other body parts when going under the intake plenum.

Yeah I told @Wulf I really need one

My back was killing me for a good day and a half the day after I replaced my starter

I'd do it right now without one but it's been crazy hot out

ughhhh I knew it was likely to happen but still. We need to bolster up the blue line, losing Gavy is going to really sting if they don't fill that gap.

the vevor one looks like the one i have, $150 on the zon…

the first use paid for itself imo. not that it totally eliminates back pain but it does limit it to a little soreness instead of locked up and straight up on fire.

Speaking of trouble, my favorite player growing up was Bob Probert :fistbump: Mainly because of access, I got to meet him a few times since my dad was one of his attorneys for the cocaine underpants fiasco… I didn’t have a clue, just thought he was a badass, LOL

Ever watch that documentary about him, Tough Guy? Pretty fucking sad.

I never saw the documentary but yeah, that guy struggled a lot in his personal life. And being an NHL enforcer back in those days before much was known about brain injuries, like many others he had concussion after concussion that lead to recurrent TBIs and degenerative brain disease. Couple that with his substance abuse issues and yeah. Sad stuff.

His highlight reels of fights and leveling dudes on the ice are fun to watch though

I have a pedestal oscillating fan (Walmart) that I setup to blow on my when working on trucks outside. Nothing fancy but keeps me from roasting. I've made all kinds of strange things to lay across engines through the years. Fortunately, this one had the starter replaced less then 2 years ago.

I just watched the trailer. At some point this week I'll watch it.

This is another good one. It's about Derek Boogaard the "Boogieman"

I’ve got one friend who’s in to hockey here, we’ll check this out next time he’s over for a beer! Looks like it may be sadly similar to the Probert story…
