What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I haven't had an issue with the OEM 360 cameras in the Utah heat.

Probably doesn't help those that it didn't come from the factory with though.

 

I decided to not go to the dealer to get the ecu swapped out ( again). Assuming that’s what happened to my satellite app. I Bluetooth it from my phone anyways. I get more stations that way. For some reason the sr trim radio doesn’t offer all the stations beamed down from the satellite.

 

Personally I think satellite radio is crap. It does not have the fidelity close to USB or CD. Streaming in a high bit rate to BT is somewhat acceptable.

 

My faux pro grille was starting to fall apart and was literally flapping in the wind on the freeway so I figured it was time to replace. I really like the look of the newer SR grilles so I'd been keeping an eye out for a decent deal on one. Finally found one and of course had to chrome delete. Sanded and painted the surround and got one of the emblem vinyl overlays from etsy. TSS still works great no re-calibration necessary.

I have an SR grill to install. Like the idea of a smoked decal overtop of the Toyota emblem. Where did you get it.

 

There's a bunch of different ones on Etsy... just search for tacoma emblem decal or emblem overlay. It's 3M wrap vinyl which is pretty forgiving so nice and easy to get flat with no bubbles and no heat gun necessary despite the shape.

 

Made some switch bezels and threw them up on the site.

If you find yourself with a need for adding two more switches to your array of aftermarket options, or if you want a switch location that is closer to the seats on the center console, we have you covered. Using the supplied cutting templtes you can Dremel out a small section of the ridge of the console so that you can then press-in a new switch bezel that can fit Toyota Tacoma rectangular switches or aftermarket switches of the same size. Its an area no one else has considered and by the time you are done it looks like the switches belongs there.

I've been going between the pre and post-facelift SR5 grille and this looks darn good. I currently have a pre-facelift going on with my '16 TRD OR... Got out in the woods with it last weekend!

 

Crank it up anyways!! lol.

Love the plate!! I knew a Tacoma was in my future soon as I saw it on the big screen

 

I like it. Good spot to have something isolated. Like obnoxiously bright off road lights, rocket launchers, or oil slicks out the back.

 

You forgot phasers and photon torpedo launchers.

 

On second thought rev it up. lol.

 

I've had the 2R setup installed for 5mo now, and it's amazing. Both on and off road. Had a bilstein setup on my 1st gen and it was dog crap compared to these.. There's one degraded road I travel down occasionally that's absolutely terrible with ruts and potholes and i hate it. I nearly lost control once in my other truck mobbing down it one day.. 3rd gen, same road with the eibachs, just floats right over everything now. Including speed bumps! Offroad is just as amazing. Washboards, rocky terrain, low/high speed.. I'm really impressed. I didnt expect them to perform that good. Plan was to try these out for a bit and eventually move up to 2.5's, but idk if I will now. These are great. in my book.

 

For some of us, decades of motorcycle riding and loud music have made any loss of fidelity a non-issue .

That's funny, I just replaced my SR5 (same as you just installed) with the all black OEM Pro grill, mainly to chrome delete...

But your outcome does look pretty good, the grill does look pretty good blacked out...
