I've been looking for a set of TRD OR 18" wheels and have come across a set or two off of a new 4 Runner TRD OR.

Interestingly enough, they look just like the Tacoma TRD OR wheels but they supposedly have a +45 offset and are 8" wide. But I've seen conflicting info that shows that indicates they are 8.5" wide with a +20 offset. The bores seems to be the correct 6x139.7mm.

I'm liking the idea of a less positive offset if it's actually a +45. But the +20 will be a little much for me.

I'd appreciate any info about this.

The offset is on the wheel. It’s on the inside. Have the seller send you a pic.

+20 is the Pro offset. It has more poke and the reason they have wider fender flares. +45 will be lined up with the normal Tacoma flares.

I reached out to them and they are supposed to send a photo of the back of the wheel. +45 would be perfect... especially with an 8" wide wheel. We'll see.

You need to consider if they are wider that will give you additional poke as well. Those specs seem wonky to me...I would have thought they would have been very similar to the taco wheels.

"The husband has said they are 18x7.5" +55." She is supposed to send a photo in a bit.

It seems odd that Toyota would make what looks like the same wheel with a slightly different offset and width.... although I still find it odd that they make a 17" TRD OR and 18" TRD OR wheel.

Making two different size wheels with the same design IMO is stupid. It's not that great of a design to begin with they look good for a factory wheel but it's not the best design I have ever seen not enough to have two different sizes of the same wheel.

The 18" wheels on the 4Runner and Tacoma probably share the same specs and are the same wheel.

The 17" wheel also looks better. Toyota makes the TRD accessory wheel why make the 18 OR wheel? I don't like the 18" accessory wheel not enough to buy it after the sale, if it was already on the truck at the dealer it would be just fine.

I'm a "stock +" type of person and like the factory wheels. I found a set of 18's for $700 that I plan to purchase. A photo of the back confirms that the '25 4runner wheels are the same as the Tacoma and are 18x7.5 +55 offset.

I like the look of the smaller diameter wheel better and think they look better stock for stock than the 18". You got to buy what you can find, and if that's the 18" that's the ones your going to get. They look pretty much the same, there could be some advantage to the 18" wheel as they are more popular since that's also the size on 3G Tundra, and 18" must be standard on all the current GAF SUV also. General Grabbers also come in an 18" size SL maybe which are lighter than an E load. 17" was also recommended because there are more tire options that weigh less. You'll probably like the way they look and should look good either way.

I wish I could say the same. I have a perfect set of 17" TRD OR wheels that came on my truck but I like the larger wheels better with 33" tires. I like having something slightly different but still looks stock and this setup checks the boxes for me. I do like the black 18" XP wheels too but those are harder to find and are more money.

If you're talking about the XP wheels like those on my on my XP SR5 truck, they have a plastic cover similar to old school hubcaps, except these are epoxied onto the spokes of the underlying rim.

I hate them for that reason, despite the fact that they look nice.

Most people prefer smaller wheel size and bigger tire for a fuller side wall. Unless you’re going for that gansta look.

Actually I like the way the Nittos look at the moment. They get decent gas mileage, handle great in all highway conditions and they're okay for the kind of off-roading I'm doing which is just light to medium duty forest service roads. Their just a little loud on the hwy, but that's what the stereo is for, right? When the Nittos wear out, I'll get new OR rims and tires. In the meantime, I'll won't care if I beat the shit out of these ones.

Factory TRD OR with 17s and 32" tires has the same sidewall as Hybrid OR with 18s and 33" tires.

Well I don't think you'd want to swap the 17" OR wheels for the same thing lol, for some reason I thought you had a SR5, either way it's cool you can upgrade and change what you like on your truck. Still seems odd that Toyota has two different diameter wheels with the exact same design. I know they need the larger diameter to clear the larger brakes on the hybrid.

I was talking about these wheels.

Better pictures on yota garage and 6G maybe they are popular with the 4R crowd.

I want to run steelies and AT tires on my non existent Xtracab but would probably find some 17 OR take offs, probably would have to buy the Prerunner wheels new if I wanted those which I would want. Think the steel wheels would look cooler and an aluminum cap.

Still disappointed that Toyota got away from the large PCD hub. For me that's what made 4x4 Japanese trucks, 4x4 Japanese trucks exposed hubs and lug nuts along with 15" or 16" wheels.

I think the 17" look better. Could be the airdam that throws the whole look off.

I was actually thinking the 18" with the Grabbers if they fit I don't see why they wouldn't they? would be a better or lighter combo. I briefly looked at trucks with both size wheels and made the determination that I prefer the 17" wheels. That was like weeks ago lol
