factory flares

    custom cold air intake 4 inch tubing, MBRP dual catback exhaust, readylift leveling kit with 265/75-17 on eagle alloy rims
    does anyone know how to remove the factory fender flares?

    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    undo the screws underneath and pop them off. be careful though as the clips that hold them into the body are very easy to break.

    they just sit right underneath the flares?

    the clips connect the flare to the body. they are attached in the holes in the body and the flare is pushed onto them to hold. there are 2 different colors of clips, so if you break any, make sure you get the right ones again.

    Use a putty knife, might tape the edge off so you don't scratch and after undoing the bottom bolts just pop it off with the putty knife. You'll probably break the clips. I broke all but a couple on both sides so I plan on heading down to the dealership and just buying new ones.
