the Magpul MBUS front Back-Up-Sight would melt if i placed it on a M4 Picatinny Railed gas block. i think that guy was full of shit, cause i think its used for military, police and private govt. contractors etc..., does anyone have any experience with this?

oh by the way i'm in CA so i'm not going full auto either.

i know on some m4's, the gas block sits a little lower than the upper receiver rail, so sometimes the front sight post wont go high enough to be sighted in. if your gas block is lower, get a small picatinny riser, or mount the sight on the handgaurd, not the gas block

yes, the MBUS will work fine if you mount to the upper receiver picatinny and the hand gaurd, as long as they are both the same height.

also, if the gas block sits lover than the upper receiver, sometimes it will not fold down and lock because it hits on the handguard
