I just shoot them.
The reality is that I haven’t seen more than one or two since we cleared them out a few years ago. We were infested, and they kept chewing their way into the cabin. I could get 10+ in a day at one time.
What I actually did was shoot the yellow flowers on the lily pads in our pond until my wife hinted that it would be more relaxing if I would stop.

A while ago there was another user that got their post inserted just below my OP and they would put that weeks challenge in that post. But now it's gone? I assume that user is banned/left/or something?

Anyways it ran like that for a few years. Not sure what changed.

I wrap them with masking tape to block most of their light... even the dimmest setting is usually far too bright.

We live in the Suburbs of California and we are infested as well Of course, it's a self inflicted wound as my wife feeds the birds which brings the squirrels as well. She thinks that they are "cute" but I tell her that they are just rats with better tails! LOL
My father used to be an avid squirrel hunter and brings them home to eat all the time. I never saw the draw but he sure liked them!
