My rattle was the heat shield. The bolts were fully tightened, so I added fender washers and problem was solved for the next 65k until I sold it.

if it is indeed the cat, not sure. We’re not in California, so you could replace with an aftermarket, non-CARB approved, non-50 state one. For the primary cat, I’d pay for the nice OEM one.

Are you talking about the shield (outer shell thing) of the cat itself or the heat shield?

when I was under the truck I can clearly hear it wasn’t the heat shield but the actual cat making the noise.

I found a few 2nd gen threads citing the same issue - and the put a huge clamp around the cat and that solved the issue.

problem is: OEM ones are discontinued.

My issue was specifically the shield. I was hoping that there was still some ambiguity with your noise and some 20¢ washers would be the fix. Maybe someone with a 1st gen that has gone 2nd cat free has them laying around for cheap. Or copart.

Typically ground temps are consistently in the low 70’s. Good for authentic Bri’ish Ales.

Ironically, Icelanders pull most of their heat from the ground. You might be better off cooling your beer with the air.

when explaining diaper technology to non parents i use the coors mountains as the example haha! For non parents or those that just don't know, diapers have a yellow line on the outside of them which turns blue when the baby has relieved themselves. This way you know when to change a diaper....if the smell wasn't enough of an indication

Some online Toyota parts dealerships are adding the 20% off July 4th deal on top of the already discount prices and including free shipping.

    Deal ends in 6 days.

As someone who is well past the diaper phase and just about to enter the college tuition phase… I’d much prefer the cost of diapers.

i have 18 years to save....or get her training for some kind of scholarship....or convince her mother that ROTC is a good call. Could always send her home for free college in Ireland too.
