I see my local dealer has the Toyota Cargo Divider on sale for $294 for the 4th (PT767-35240). I don't see any notation that it will still work if you have the Toyota OEM hard tonneau cover that relocates the side rails down a bit.

Anyone got this with the Toyota (Bakflip) folding hard tonneau cover?

If I'm not mistaken, the oem Bakflip cover required the rails to be moved at a lower location. Thus the cargo divider will not work, unless you fab a bracket adapter.

Yeah the Toyota one also relocates the brackets lower so that you have unrestricted access to them still. But they are lower than stock.

I found a thread on another 4G Taco forum and a user confirmed it will fit but he had to cut 3/4" off each end to make it work.

Ha ha, I have that! I used it for installing kitchen cabinets to hold them up. If I can find it I'll toss it in the bed and see how well it works. Might just do the trick!

How much lower are the relocated rails?

The new Bakflip does not require this ,it uses the stock rails now.

So a quick eyeball says the rails are relocated about 3/4" lower, and 3/4" further into the bed. That would explain why the other post I found said he had to cut 3/4" off the sides to make it fit.

Ima try that Harbor Freight cargo rod, I think I still have mine somewhere and that would probably do the trick for most things. It's most stuff at Sams/Costco etc that slide up to the front of the bed by the time I get home. Like drinks, etc. That rod would probably keep them towards the rear.

There's pros and cons to this I guess. Having them relocated means I can use the entire length of the rails easily, like for this cargo divider. If you are sharing the original rail, then you can only go a little ways before running into the mounts for the tonneau cover.

Using the rod to keep things from moving forward has worked for me:

The OEM cover looks to be made by Bakflip now and like on my 3rd Gen which had a Bakflip branded cover, the rails had to be relocated. Are you saying the Bakflip branded hard covers for the 4th Gen are different now?

Yes it is different, that's why I said new Bakflip.

Yes it will work, with slight modifications. My truck came with the cargo divider from the factory. I installed the oem tonneau (bakflip). The height isn't the problem. It's the width, the rails actually get relocated lower and about an inch or so narrower. I just cut about ¾" off of each side of the divider brackets and it fits perfectly. No regrets! I'm not home right now, I'll get some pictures for you later

Looks like my rails are relocated about 3/4 lower and 3/4" in, which lines up with what you're seeing. If cutting off 3/4" on each side is all it needs I may still do it. Otherwise that luggage bar thing from Harbor Freight, which I already own, may be enough for now.

    Thanks!

Yeah super easy. I just used my sawzall with a metal blade. It's aluminum and cuts really easy. The load lock works good also but since my truck came with the divider I wanted to make it work.

The bed divider is not just a bed divider, it's a molle panel.

Ok here are some pictures of what needs to be cut to fit with oem tonneau.

    20250703_214746.jpg
You'll have to cut each bracket that slides into the rail system here. I think I cut about ¾" off each side.

    20250703_214917.jpg

Then cut the divider "arms/wings" here that sit in the bracket.

    20250703_214845.jpg
    Fits perfect.

Thanks for the details! Still undecided about getting this or the bar. This divider would probably be more useful though.
