I pay for it for work and its worth it
Setting the notifications based on counties makes it a lot more helpful
Also wind patterns and flight tracker are useful

Will do buddy! You should also hit up Josh for some drum brake theory. He just 100% rebuilt his rear axle and had to install everything, parking brake, every single drum component etc..

Had an oh shit moment of having to self care and ride out

Not a bad idea. I am a big fan of H or Israeli bandages
After getting my bell rung I dont think I could have handled it without practice
Luckily for my my backpack exploded and it was at my feet when I stood up

Here is the least gory pic I have IMG_8447.jpg

Saw the Coconino Trail Riders sticker on your bike. Broke a few ribs on their summer group ride a few hours in, finished the ride somehow. Not that young/dumb anymore lol

yeah at first I was worried about my arms bleeding
then I noticed a blood spec on my pants

pulled em down and I could see into my knee, kneecap, bone, tendon and everything

patched myself up and called 911
quickly realized that there was no way that they were gonna find me

so i rode about 10 miles to the truck while the lady is arguing with me about staying put (do EMTs have dirt bikes) and how I am not in their zone ( sorry)

get to the truck and she gave them wrong directions so I had to chace down the ambulance and FD, God bless them

Dirt bikes? No. But they do have some pretty awesome 4wd Ambulances and Jeeps and SxSs with a Trauma Bed on them. Not to mention Wildland Fire Fighting Rigs that can go a LOT of places. Pretty common in Maricopa, Yavapai, Coconino Counties. I think Gila is getting them too. Standard SAR stuff. If you were on a road or trail that had 10 feet of clearance they could get to you or close to you and then use the Big-Wheel the rest of the way.

This subject deserves a stick-thread, I think. Given that AZ is doing its best to kill you already ...

Tourniquets are AMAZINGLY simple and easy to put on foam rubber dummies and classmates that are playing the victim role.
On the other hand, tourniquets are friggin damn near impossible to put on some guy in the middle of a post accident panic attack while he's slimed everything around him in blood. It's like the unwanted love child of Mud Pit Wrestling and PRCA Bull Riding.

Challenge coin? F-No, brotha! You wrangle a crashing meth head on a linoleum floor slip-n-slide to get a tourniquet anywhere except around his neck (which will also stop the bleeding) through his fountain of blood borne pathogens and you get a Decom Shower and a Belt Buckle.

Sorry I was being a bit sarcastic

I know SAR has a bunch of cool stuff, at the time I was just more confident in my ability to limp to my truck than I was for them to find me in a decent amount of time

    Agreed

Also I think H bandages / Israeli bandages can handle a wider range of injuries

Always good to have more tools in the toolbag that you know how to use
