Make sure to rebleed the brakes after a week or two. You might only get a bubble or two out of them but the pedal on mine firmed up substantially. Come to think of it I need to re-bleed them as it's been about two years but I need to install longer rear brake lines (again, lol) so maybe I'll do that this weekend.

Once you've re-bled come back and tell everyone how they put you through the windshield compared with the factory stuff.

    Enjoy!

I have noticed some squishy feeling, so I think you're right. By the way, did you put limiting straps on the front? Thanks

No but I still have my kit from TMR if you want them. Send me a message I’ll send them for shipping costs.

New shocks don’t need limit straps

Yesterday I Was going to spend the morning changing the oil in the Rear and front diff and the transfer case. After draining the rear the world started spinning. Tried to get up and fell. One of our guests saw me in the back parking lot and called my wife. Rash under both arms pits, burning throat, dizziness. Turns out one of the chemicals added to gear oil has adverse affects on my health. Friend is going to come over this morning and add 4 quarts and tighten up the plugs. 58F03E5D-AB61-4E9E-A5C5-01464D836251.jpg

    Holy Moly!

    I'm glad you're OK!

Good to know this info and sorry you found out the unhealthy way.

Safety goggles, nitril gloves and an N95 mask should be used as a precaution.

Drove a half hour to meet a buddy (ride to work) and drop my truck off to have the leaking rear shocks replaced under warranty. Appointment has been booked for weeks, and was confirmed by text message from the dealership.

Arrived to be told that they didn't have the new shocks and had cancelled the appointment.....but forgot to notify me. Oopsie! Got a text on the half-hour drive back towards work, setting an appointment for 7 weeks later.

Thanks, Castlegar Toyota, you never fail to disappoint.

Hate to be that guy but a set of Bilstein 5100s for the rear, 20 mins of your time and ~$200 might just be worth the saving the headache from the dealer wasting all this time of yours.
