Is MA bell really that bad? I've watched some pretty stock trucks run it in videos with only dragging the rear. Are these showing go arounds of harder lines?

As far as I know it's the same length that it was last time we were there, just streamlined

The go-arounds are now off limits (as many of them used to be, but it's a lot stricter now if we want to keep the place open). Hard lines are going to push our limits a bit, I'm fully expecting to use my winch and armor to its fullest on the harder stuff.

I was mostly talking about OFR. MA Bell has big boulders, 33s and lockers with armor would be able to do a fair amount. 35s and lockers will do more. 37s and lockers you could do twin towers and some other bigger obstacles.

My avatar and signature pictures are from MA Bell. 35s, 5.29s, and lockers. I've posted some vids before as well

Sounds like we need to discuss final choice of location for 7/12

Still getting my truck together from last Saturday
I’ll be ready to go wherever. If we could find something to hit within short distance of Ma bell more would be inclined for it. Lack of go-arounds make it a no go for lots in the group.

I see the ups and downs to both locations and really want you to make it. Maybe an earlier or later start would help get you further north?

Taking the train (Amtrak) into the city for a bunch of days and nights with the family. My daughter states that she likes the city life and we figured we would show her the craziness that NY City can be like both positive and negative wise. (She has only been there once for one day on a school trip to broadway.)

My sister lived in NYC for a year or so when she was going to culinary school. She said it's crazy there.

Good stuff-- my wife is from the city, I was down there almost every weekend for 3 years after college before we moved to CT. If you want any recommendations I have plenty lol

I was born in Manhattan and lived there up until high school, I can't do it anymore lol. There are elements of it that I enjoy but only in small chunks, visiting is plenty for me now

That sounds like a blast. NYC in the summer can be stinky but sounds like a lot of fun.
She looking at schools down that a-ways?

I think at this point she is fantasizing about the allure of city life without actually being in the city because she grew up in the suburbs. She is also not interested in driving either and likes the idea of public transportation which in all honesty I can't fault her for. It's not the fact that she doesn't want to drive or learn to drive, it's the fact that she recognizes that it would be too expensive for her with gas and insurance.

Checks out. That was part of an allure for us looking at San Diego back then.
Boston's pretty good for that too. And NYC is great for biking too, so there's still some autonomy even still! Just watch out for e-bikes being banned in rental units.

There's ups and downs for everything, it's cool that y'all are getting her out to see it all before she leaps all in on one way or the other.
