I recommend taking full advantage of any EU things you can. The fact that a college degree has turned into a requirement for “everyone” these days is ridiculous.

AFROTC is a great call! Shouldn't take too much convincing. Unfortunately I haven't been able to convince any of my kids to do so...

Trade school. We make more money and work less than the college educated. :burp:
Plus, no student loan for the taxpayers to shoulder.

Pfft. The whole for-profit student loan scheme is a racket to keep many people in debt for most of their working life.

When I started Dallas community college in 2002, it was $33 per credit hour. That cost doubled and then tripled the following two years in a row.

Bachelors aren't special any more, its all about a masters and I can see that becoming the "norm" soon too.

You're not wrong! I'd be open to that too!

If i could do it again I'd have done this!

Depends the trade but I get what you're saying.

18 years is a long ways a way on paper so we shall see. Just gonna expose her to as much as possible in the mean time.

My grandfather owned a fence and lumber yard with a hardware storefront for decades (my entire childhood).

I wish he gave me the guidance to go into a trade.

But he wanted me and my brother to get the best education possible, including higher ed, which he wasn’t afforded. So that’s the guidance he gave.

Looking for automotive AC shops. Do these even exist?

Im going to give the system the old cleaning, etc and will even hook up some gauges to it to see if there’s anything obvious.

But the ‘04 isn’t as cold as I’d like. And I can feel the temp out of the vents fluctuate between cold (typically when driving slower or at a stop) and coolish often.

So if my light (appropriate) touching of the system doesn’t do the trick, hoping you all have experience with an AC shop.

I wonder how the 1st gen was when new. I was never impressed with my 2003 A/C performance.

Mine blew real cold when it was topped off. It has lost most of its refrigerant in the years that I've owned it. Apart from that only complaint is that the balance between vents isn't great, but that might be due to junk accumulation or leaks related to age.

I have been most fortunate with the AC on my 99. It still blows cold. I haven’t touched it except to replace the pulley when the old pulley’s bearing was whining.
