    QUESTION:
"I've made a video on my Youtube channel showing the problem in detail and how to make your own relay w/ diode combination. If you don't want to make it yourself I've included links above where it can be purchased."

WHATS THE LINK FOR THE RELAY W/ DIODE INCLUDED TO BE PURCHASED SO I DONT HAVE TO DO THAT CUSTOM STEP. OR I WOULD LIKE TO SUPPORT A LOCAL AND BUY ONE THAT HAS THE DIODE ALREADY INSTALLED

Here's the link from the first post
    https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetai...GAEpiMZZMsKEdP9slC0YVzLoqlJlno%2B28rChTsbwK0=

I was the closest thing there was to buying local, USA, but there wasn't enough demand to make it worth doing.

I have 19 spare diodes. I can solder them into a relay if you pay me for the relay and work. But i have no way to test it like @jsi , so its a risk to take. I will do my best if you choose me

I tried, but there were a few. Not sure which one to choose. My IG is @great_white_taco

How does $30 sound? including the relay, diode, solder, and shipping to you

@jsi so im getting ready to cut some wires.
    Have a question:

i guess i dont have a correct vampire tap, but can I use a male/female spade on the violet wire (high up like your original post) and then add the Y cable to #2 and #3 (mine will be different because of my relay)?

Or would it be possible to do with my T-tap that I also have pictured? Am I leaving the violet wire uncut ?

I think Ive figured it out. Can use the t-tap splice. And put the spade on the Y that i created. Getting power from the violet, without cutting it.

Im overly cautious, and asked my neighbor who is the same.

3rd question, do i plug the factory plug back into the 4x4 ecu?

EDIT: i just needed to keep reading. Its literally step 1 on the testing steps :bananadead:

I also used a T-Tap on the purple wire and put the spade on the Y. Initially when I plugged the spade into the t-tap, the spade got pinned under the connector somehow and I wasn’t getting power to the locker. Had to pull it apart, realign it, then plug it back in. Worked then!
Let us know if you get it working!

Glad to have someone watching my progress. Had to take a gulp of confidence for those first few cuts!

    Current progress

    IMG_0489.jpg

my relay has 2.6mm spades, so i had to get extra small connectors. We will know shortly if they work!

@daddy_julz got your relay in. Ill solder it after work today, and get it shipped tomorrow for you.

If anyone else is interested I have one more relay, and plenty of diodes.

I'm moving the conversation here to the original post. That helps others to have one place to go for my responses.

The picture you sent in your PM shows you ordered the correct relay from Amazon. In my experience they send the correct part 95% of the time. The correct one will look something like this.

Yes I believe that’s exactly what I have.
In the image you can see how I wired it. All the wires described in the post have been connected to the block, which the relay mounts to. I could get some of those female crimp connectors but idk what else to try? Are the pink and green/black wires necessary? I soldered all my connections, no crimps or vampire clips, it’s all copper to copper and soldered. Do I have a different circumstance? If the relay was bad, it wouldn’t actuate, right?
Besides cutting all the wires and adding in the relay, I reconnected the rest of the f12 connector to the 4x4 controller, and nothing else changed. The relay clicks when I hit the locker button, but the light doesn’t come on or the motor engage. where could I get another relay like this in Boise to try again and see if that’s the problem?
