A little body filler, a little sanding and primer is on. About ready to spray some evergreen pearl!

New leafs, a tire rotation, and an oil change. Oh, and when I raised the truck to change the leafs, I noticed some brake fluid leak from the LSPV, so I bled all the brakes just to be on the safe side. All in all a busy day, and the truck no longer bounces around every time I hit a bump on the freeway.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
Most paint places charge for prep time, a spray in place is most common. Everytime I've done vehicle paint, I bring the vehicle prepped to the shop so they don't have to do it, easiest way is just to slide the bed back on the frame on some 2x4s a bit if you don't have the ability to transport it separate. Paint/body shops aren't really mechanics shops though, so things like removing a bed is time consuming for them if they encounter a stuck bolt or something.

No, I am keeping the same color so my guy told me it was up to me but for what I'm using the truck for it would be a waste of money.

I made the mistake of letting the body shop remove the bed and put it back on. They put my bumper bolts in where the bed bolts go and vice versa. Snapped off the frame's weld nuts for my bumper in the process. Let them do the paint, you do everything else.

Mostly cosmetic but she ain’t stock(looking) anymore.
Finally got around to swapping out my old rust rotted engine skid plate for the second hand one I refurbished and sprayed with Duplicolor bed liner.

Next two days are a few projects for the truck. Storm rolled through but so far I was able to pull the slip yoke and clean it/grease it up using that Ford grease I've seen elsewhere on the forums. Replaced the tailgate handle with the metal one that is available now and finally did a drain and fill on the transmission.

After the rain passes or tomorrow I'll be dropping the leafs out to replace some broken nylon pads and installing a 3* shim to finally correct a vibration I've been having since lifting the truck. Also swapping the shackles to the OME greaseable ones.

As luck would have it I'm rebuilding my OME rear leafs tomorrow too. Bushings turned to dust on them as well as the rear shocks so I'm putting polyurethane ones in. Same for the front end steering rack

Was able to get one side finished up today. Shim was pretty straightforward also swapped out the nylon spacers too. Need to torque some things down but otherwise should be all good. Driver side tomorrow.

Are you going with the greaseable shackle? I did poly in the rack when I replaced that a little bit ago it made such a big difference. Along with that 333 clamp.

Yeah I already have greasable shackles on there and they still turned to goo. The fronts are completely gone though. What's the 333 clamp?

Might just be a placebo but before the rack would move a little when turning, now it never budges.

Ah didn't know about that. I plan on reusing the original part unless it ends up being damaged. Gotta take it off first to see

I need recommendations on shackles to replace the OEM ones. I want something decent. I saw a few sets on ebay for a decent price.
