Ok people, this thread was created to see who likes what when it comes to things that go bang. What's your favorite firework or tell a story regarding the subject. And try to keep all your fingers!

My favorite types are reloadable mortars and the big 500g multi shot cakes. I like the giant ring and willow effects. Multi color and color changing are preferred over plain white. I'm all about safety and keeping limbs and fingers in tact, so I use Pyroboom mortar racks, extra fuse and an electronic ignition system.

AZ doesn't approve of such fun activities, so I have to get my supplies from NV. Red Apple Fireworks has a really cool store out in the middle of nowhere in Pahrump. Check out their Youtube channel and Instagram. I think they've got another location in GA and MI. They'll ship to your home or a UPS/Fedex pickup location. I like to pick them up in person, so I can spend some time in store looking at everything.

I can fill up the bed of the Tacoma and close the tonneau. A couple of trips and some time in Vegas in between. It's funny how many people come from CA to buy there and smuggle them back. I think the fine is 10k in CA and a misdemeanor charge.

I pay the yearly membership fee and get a discount plus cash back on everything. I still have $70 cash back to blow there, but I've got to wait as NV began setting up their stop and search checkpoints between Pahrump and Clark County NV a little early this year. You don't want to get pinched for smuggling fireworks.

Some of my favorites lately are:

    Volt
    Mirage
    Death Blossom
    LitAF
    Sin City Aerial Finale set
    Unicorn Puke
    Lunar Rainbow
    Jamrock
    Electric Octopus
    Geisha willow shells
Chroma and Chroma color changing shells
    Killa Shells
    American Glory Shells

I know some states like FL sell really nice aerial and mortar TNT sets at Costco. I can't wait to move out of this furnace of a state. No pictures unfortunately, because I don't want to get busted for having a little fun.

I've heard that's where CA was storing all the illegal fireworks they confiscated. Not sure if that's true. Seems odd to have it way up north near Sacramento and the Sierra's. Real shame about the people that literally disintegrated in the blast including the young guy that was expecting a child with his girlfriend.

Nice to have a reliable source. I also love me some mortars. Only loaded on in upside-down to pay a lot more attention.

yeah, some reports say 7 people missing...
I have no idea about where the fireworks came from but figured there wouldnt be that many if it was a sales depot of some sort days before the holiday...
News reports say fireworks were going off for 1.5+ hours.....
Thats a pretty impressive stockpile considering the entire building was on fire & they were pretty much all lit in short order...

I know in these scenarios fire dept does nothing & just lets it burn, protects nearby structures.
They cant get close to fight the fire...

Had a buddy that went on vacation in Las Vegas...
About 15 minutes before he pulled back into his driveway he got a phone call that his house was on fire.
He had so much ammo in the house, the fire dept wouldnt go near the house......

You wouldn't see an explosion like that with fountains and sparklers.

Yes, seven people missing. Heard no mention of illegal fireworks there as it was a warehouse for professional fireworks for public displays. Some communities will not be having their anticipated displays this year - it will be interesting to see just who doesn't.
