My current wheels are from a 2018 Sport. I think their +24 offset.

I'd like to get the tires out a bit, and found some wheels I really like that are 0 offset. My tires are only 265-70-17, they wouldn't rub my mud flaps or anything would they?

These are the wheels I really like. Be warned before clicking the link that they are not black or bronze!

Would my factory tire monitor things work with these?

Those will almost guaranteed rub the mud flaps because the wheel is wide and sticks much further out than stock.

Stock is +30 mm offset, on a 7.5” wheel. So 0 offset on a 7.5” wheel would stick out 30mm, then add half of the extra width of the wheel and you’re around 1.75” stick out, which increases scrub radius and the overall path the tire rotates on in turns. That is what puts it into the mud flaps. Maybe it will only happen on bumps.

My previous TRD Sema wheels that were +4mm and 7” wide rubbed on bumps while turning because of the offset. That was with a 265/70. So I can only picture the wheels you’re looking at being worse than that.

    No clue on the TPMS.

No problem with your conclusions, only your specifications. Are you saying the OP's 2018 Sport has +30MM Offset rims from the factory, I thought our trucks maximum offset was +25MM with the 7" rims; 4Runner IIUC has +19MM on 7.5" rims. These two rims put the inside of the rim in the identical place assuring no rubbing of metal on metal, i.e. rim on spindle or rim on upper control arm. News to me, but that would not be unusual.

My 2021 OR definitely has +25MM Offset rims.

He said he has Sport wheels, which are 7.5” and +30mm.

The OR wheels are yes, 7” wide and +25mm, as are all the other 7” wide stock wheels besides the TRD Pro models.

I always say this- buy some used wheel spacers to test equivalent offset before buying the wheels. Then resell the spacers when you're done. Someone always buys them.

Good to know, now if I can only remember.

I've suggested the same in the past.
Let's take this one step further and have somebody rent out a complete set of spacers for a fee. Thus, no hassle in reselling.

Perhaps even keeping the selection you like and returning the rest if you find you don't want to buy rims. I do see one problem and that would be the very thin spacers that require longer wheel studs.

I'm not pro spacers, but they will always be used by some.

Don't wanna fuck with spacers. I'm kinda surprised over the comments. I've seen Tacomas with 285's sticking out like a bitch rolling around. I guess they did remove the mud flaps, and cut some shit.

I figured I'd probably be able to pull it off with 0 offset. Not sure if those wheels are offered in any other offset.

    Just really liked those wheels.

17x8.5, 0 offset with 265/65/17 should clear. 265/70/17 minor trimming on mud flaps. Zero offset is about flush with the outside fenders. Buy what you want and run them.

If all I have to do it a little cutting on the mud flaps that would be gold!

I'd remove them, but I'm in a coastal area. Had a TJ with 32's and it sandblasted part of the side of my Jeep behind the tires.

Just found this. Hard to imagine 1 inch making that big a difference.

If you switch from +25 offset wheels to 0 offset wheels, your tires will stick out an additional 25mm (or roughly 1 inch) further from the wheel well.

If you are unsure of anything, do as I did. I bought one tire and rim and tried it out - little risk. Drove around with mismatched tires for several weeks. Actually, in my case I just substituted in the spare rim as I do not have aesthetic issues. Did this before going from stock to skinny 33" and then again to 35". 35" involved new 17" rims.

There is an alignment procedure to move the tires forward in the wheel well to make them fit better.

I don't like spacers either, why use two engineered parts when one will do. Sorry you are disappointed in the comments.

My stock UCA's are about maxed out in caster.

Have you had an alignment done by a "good" dedicated 4X shop. The 2.3 degrees seems low and within the factory specs. It has been some time since I did mine with only the stock LCA. IIRC 4 degrees seems more reasonable. Mine is sitting somewhere in the 4-6 degree range at this time. I do my own alignments using both the lower control arms and my SPC uppers. So, maybe outside your range of possibilities.

Since you have now posted the alignment spec sheet others will be around to instruct you further - I just am very bad at searching this site, or any website for that matter.

265/70r17 17x9 +1 with stock flaps no rubbing from what I remember. It was short lived as I tossed on rokblokz flaps on after breaking a factory flap in some hard deep snow.

This is one of the most common fitments i see done worst case you trim the stock foaps or go to a high clearance flap. You should not have to muck with the alignment here.

I have 265/70R17. 17x9 wheel. 0 offset. No trimming. No rubbing. 2in level kit. Love the look of it.
I used 1010tires a lot going over the difference in wheel clearance.
