Lately developed a strange noise only on acceleration in any gear. Almost sounds like a possible exhaust leak, but also sounds like a very light scraping noise, maybe from a u-joint or the center bearing on the drive shaft. Absolutely no drivability issue as of yet. Only happens when accelerating. Seems like heavy load (going uphill) makes it a little louder. I'm thinking u-joint (without grease nipple) issue. Only 58K miles so is like new otherwise. Looking for advice. Thanks.
    Ron from Connecticut.

Thanks!! I do not hear the pinging sound that is directly related to the speed of the driveshaft as in this video, but I am listening through the open window of the driver's door as I drive. I'm certainly not hearing the noise anywhere as accurately and clearly as was picked up by the camera and microphone used to make the video How did you make this video, I'd like to do the same??? And thanks again!

Also, what was cause of the noise picked up in the video, a bad u-joint or the center mount?

The video in post #3 is not my video (just a video I found on YT). I believe people mount a GoPro type camera under their trucks to capture video and sound.

On a side note, if your 2017 is 4x4, it probably has greaseable Zerks on the front shaft. Here are the locations to check.
