How's that shade treating you? Did you bolt the awning down yet?

I didn’t realize the 1973 ban on supersonic flight over the continental US was lifted last month, I wonder if we’ll see a new version of the Concorde back in action sooner now. They’ve been trying so long to make a “quieter” more efficient supersonic commercial jet, now they don’t have to worry about the quiet part anymore at least lol.

the efficiency part is the biggest thing holding it all back but maybe we’ll get to hear some freedom booms once in awhile now. I only remember ever hearing one back in the 90s when the shuttle reentered the atmosphere overhead, our 3rd grade teacher stopped teaching the class for a bit so we could wait for it and feel it rattle the building.

It's been great; even before it was done the kiddo is dragging us out here everyday

Definitely need to bolt it down though, just haven't gone out to buy a hammer drill for that yet :anonymous:

Most rental stores have them too. I’d rent a legit one. Not a drill that says it has a hammer function.

I rented one last time. Haven't needed it since. The drill bits are expensive too

It's the 4th so no doing much of anything today

Worst case I pay someone to do it - there are multiple instances where I've bought all my own tools and did the work myself

I think if I bought some bits, anchors, and bought/rented a tool I'll never use again it'll wash out the same

I have to start figuring out a larger solution to shade the fake grass

Boom supersonic built a factory down the road from my office. Rather small, but a factory nonetheless. Their jet is gonna look just like the Concorde.

Jetzero is coming here too, and that's gonna be one of the largest buildings in the state I think. Not excited for that one.
