These were "on sale" at Amazon, kind of wonder if there is some kind of defect in the plastics, or maybe new old stock they are trying to move and the plastic dried out from heat storage. The box was slightly beat up as well, but the boots appeared to never have been worn.
The buckle design is similar to old school snowboard buckles, and they never broke in sub zero temps. I was simply pushing the strap in, and it snapped right off with what I would call minimal force.

Well crap, I paid $429 from Bezo's. I really liked the color too, fit was comfortable, was looking forward to a morning ride to try them out before the afternoon showers hit.
No biggie, (although there was a streak of swearing when it broke) sometimes shit doesn't go like we want. Just happy that Amazon will refund it with no hassle. I'll keep looking. Really want to try stuff on before buying as sizing is ridiculous for us short skinny dudes.

I lucked up and bought a pair of Tech 3's off ebay for $89. So I just bought the same size in the Tech 7's. We don't have any place close by to try gear on.....so it's always a chance for me.

My wife gets pissed as hell at that. I end up laughing at her because she wouldn’t listen (it’s a dang holiday, woman). then she gets pissed at me for laughing.

Let's get this shit show started. Bought some different stuff that cures in 24 hours. Front tire will be here tomorrow, with any luck I can have it on the road Sunday afternoon, or Monday. There is some prep time.

    Got the supervisor helping.

What do you guys think of this for a front wheel chock? I have a line on a 2014 Vstrom 650 with about 4,000 miles for a smoking deal, but it is 2 hours away. Bike would be a bit big for the back of the truck, so it would need to go in the trailer. I am thinking of putting this over the angle iron on the front of the utility trailer.

I wish there was an image of it being used, I struggle to see how it works.

Me too, that is why I was asking. It seems like it would need something to hold the bottom of the tire too. Problem is that I need something easily removed on the trailer so I can haul lumber and stuff when needed. I thought if this was about in the middle of the tire, and you used straps to pull the tire into the chock, then maybe... But it seems like it could still slide out side to side during corners, especially with the bounce of a single axle trailer

Wood deck on said trailer? As much as you wouldn’t want too (pending person). you could nail/screw down a 12 inch section of 2x4 on both sides of the tire to keep it straight and help it from sliding left or right.

edit: I use a 7 foot long 2x8 with those 1x1 marking stakes screwed to it, front and rear at the tires.. I have yet to have the tires slip left or right.

This is the way. I do the same, couple of 2x4's screwed to the deck and get er done.

Yes wood deck. That is a great idea. I have been thinking of something that could be used over and over for hauling the dirt bikes to the riding area, but for quick and easy for this use case, the 2x4 is the ticket. I was totally over thinking it.
