In a survival situation a good knife/tool is needed to increase the chances of survival,so what kind of knives do you recommend?
I've found this site has some amazing custom knives. Does any one have experiences with them.
    Thanks

The best knife for survival is a solo brand disposable plastic table knife. The serrations are perfectly aligned to make a sundial in the wilderness, and it won't be lost when swimming across a lake. It maximizes safety by avoiding the risk of accidental lacerations, and yet it's tough enough to cut leather. No knife is superior to the solo brand disposable plastic table knife.

Instead of spending $100-$300 on a fancy knife buy several of these and keep them stashed in packs, your vehicles kitchen and home.

I like the Kansbol knife and sheath better but the Companion is hard to go wrong for the money

The Garberg is basically the same design as the Kansbol but with a thicker blade and full tang construction. It's more rugged for chopping and tough chores. The Kansbol is better at slicing and food prep.

    Another tough, no nonsense knife.

All of these are available in other colors including basic black.
