I have a 2024 Tacoma OR Hybrid. Pretty basic model. Not a lot of over-the-top extras, but everything I want for my needs and wants. One thing it does not have...the aux buttons in the cabin.

Then I noticed all the Aux sockets in the engine bay, rear tailgate, etc.

With regards to Auxiliary Wiring, here's what I have found:

    1. All accessible pre-wired Aux sockets are in place throughout the vehicle.
    2. Inside the fuse/relay box - the relay sockets exist and have wiring leading to and away from them. (see photo)
    3. Get this one - Aux 1 (15a), Aux 2 (10a), and Aux 3 (5a) fuses are in place on the fuse panel.
    4. My truck DOES NOT have the Aux 1,2,3 buttons on the dash.

I cannot find the specific harnesses or wiring for the leads to the OEM Aux buttons.
Any thoughts on what might be needed to complete the Auxiliary system?

It really does not seem that hard given what I have found. Does anyone have a better wiring diagram?

pull the panel where the switches are. See if the switches are prewired and I think a few companies (Cali raised?) make OEM-style switches for that panel

In case this would help you, this is my driver side fuse panel on my Tacoma 2024 TRD Pro. The Aux fuses are on this panel, and you can see the relays too. I have a 2024, so only Aux 1-3.

Pulled them. No harnesses or wiring that I can see for the switches. There must be a harness I can tap into...somewhere.

Thanks for all the insight. It is appreciated.

There's got to be a simple harness route that is missing. A junction where the wire coming off the fuses & relays connect and join with the Aux switches. Makes no sense for it to be overly complicated.

I can't find it now, but someone in another 4g thread on this site posted the part numbers for the Aux 1-3 switches as an OEM drop in. What will also drop in is a large turd into your pants when you see the Toyota price on them.

Thanks for popping into this thread. Sorry, you misunderstood. (prolly my fault)...

I am looking for the wiring diagram that would allow me to connect the existing aux wiring that is currently in place.
The question is - what part of the harness(es) is required to add these switches and complete the circuit?

I have the following in my truck (sounds like others are like me):
    - All aux locations are there ready to receive the Aux OE pigtail connections
    - All wiring to the fuse/relay box is there (relays have sockets, are missing - fuses are in place.)
    - OE in-cabin switches are missing. (Trying to find the connections / circuits to add them).

If anyone is listening - I have a feeling there are a bunch of us out there who could benefit from making this work.

The AUX are the upper blank row on the driver's left dash button panel (third row down). Have you tried pulling the panel off to see if you're run all the way into the back of the blanks? And thus, all you need are the pigtails and the actual switches, plus the relays? Sounds like you might want to do some continuity testing first to make sure things are complete end to end otherwise.

Sure have. There are no harnesses to be found for the switches. (thus...my ask.)

    Super helpful. Thank you.
It appears, I need the connection route for the wiring harness from the relays to the switches. That is the one I am missing in the truck.

Namely...(if I am reading this correctly) the wiring from the AJ1 and J92 connections.

i just picked up a 25 OR, without the pre-wired aux options, but i'd like to have the OEM option to do so ready available when i start throwing goodies in

Or you could install a switch which could also give you a pulsing option. I have and use both of them.[IMG]

Auxbeam is a great product. Did this on my 5th Gen 4runner. Just seems ridiculous not to use wiring that is already in place.

See my previous post and check your fuse/relay box (driver's side). The trucks without the full wiring do not have the relay sockets.

That is if you already have all the harnesses in place and just add the switch panel. Like I said, I use both and can get the pulse ability on any switch unlike what you get with the Aux switches. Unless you have very fast fingers.

It varies. I have harnesses from the fuse box out to the periphery of the truck. I do not have relays, but the relay sockets are present. This was a Q2 2024 production truck.

Or did you mean the relays are not present? Some other owners have posted pics of their relay sockets being absent entirely -- as it you couldn't add them if you wanted.

It's bizarre. I have the aux accessory wiring throughout the truck, relay sockets in place (wiring appear to go to them), fuses are in place, and I think...no wiring from the relays to AJ1 or J92. Totally thinking about running wires from the relays to the switches to utilize the existing setup. Seems like a no brainer.
