None to speak of, just enjoying it for the moment.
Seems like that's the issue, the plastic version expands faster than the aluminum and gets stuck. Can't believe Toyota cheaped out on such a high use item for a few pennies.

Check Engine light came on during the drive home from the used car dealer, 250 miles from my new home. Truck purchased AS IS, WHERE IS, suck-it warranty.
I had a Napa Auto Parts place locally pull the code to find P0420 (Catalyst system below threshold). Drove it around for a little while, found a trustworthy local independent repair shop close to the house to diagnose and make recommendations. Two codes came up (P0420 and one other for an Emissions Purge Valve). Aww, come on. (sad face)
Oh well, they showed me that at operating temperature, the incoming side of the cat measured 600ºF and outgoing side measured 350ºF, No arguing that, cat is plugged. Purge Valve is stuck open too.

Replaced them both, truck happier now and no Check Engine lamp. Other items found / recommended fixes will need to wait as none of them are critical. I will handle them all before the end of the year.

That seems like a possibility though I just warm the engine before changing the oil, with such thin oil, I don't see the point of getting to operating temp..

I bought a metal housing months ago and also a spare 'plastic' one. I'll try the filter 'wrench' on them and see if it fits any looser.

Sorry to hear about your troubles, but glad you got er back running good again...

Looks like you have a 2018, but you didn't say which engine nor how many miles are on it...
You stated other items found, any of them engine related, or ???

Max preload on the front coilovers is probably not going to ride the best fyi. I had 275/70/17s for about a year and a half at only a 1.5in lift front and rear and I didn't think they looked too small, but my truck was not nearly as lifted as yours. I think it's just the ride height making them look small.

    - Installed C4 jerry can holder on swing out
    - Frontrunner drop table on swing out
    - Installed a Weboost

For the weboost: I am going to add a longer antenna cable & hardwire the power.
Next things to do: Add a relocated rear camera to the swing out.

Ignore the awful cable management. :)

Thank you! DIY HC rear, inspired by the Outgear Solutions Tilted one but all my own design, tube work, welding, etc.

Front is a modified C4 Rock Runner, but not with the crossmember delete. I'll do it some day, but relocating the PS and trans fluid lines sounded like a giant headache at the time. There's a bunch of photos on my build page if you wanted to see the modifications I did to the Rock Runner.

Installed the Stinger HEIGH10 plus head unit, Kicker Key200.4 amp, and Alpine PWE-S8 sub, Rockford fosgate punch front and rear today.

The stock head unit was holding the whole system back, and this setup absolutely transformed the sound. The HEIGH10 fits clean and factory-looking — no weird gaps or trim issues. I ran the Kicker Key200.4 behind the head unit to power the front/rear Rockford Fosgate Punch components and tied in a set of Subaru OEM tweeters.

The Alpine PWE-S8 is compact, fits neatly behind the rear seat, and fills in the low end without being obnoxious. Bass is clean and tight — not boom-y. Ran a fused power line direct to the battery, grounded properly, and tucked the wiring so everything’s stealth.

Huge improvement in soundstage and clarity without turning the truck into a rolling nightclub. Highly recommend the Kicker amp if you’re keeping stock or mild aftermarket speakers — the auto DSP tuning is shockingly good.
    Kept it OEM+

    also installed large cupholders

Following the theme, I also installed the Trail Grid Pro Alpine Sub kit, on Monday. (no pictures)
Fast delivery, easy to follow installation instructions, and good sound quality.

TrailGridPro Alpine plug and play amp & 8" sub kit. WOW!!! What a difference and still running the stock speakers. I did turn the gain up just a little on the rear vs. Alpine's suggested settings. Very pleased with this purchase. Also installed the anytime camera mod.

Purchased Toyota Certified, with Vijay bumpers, additional lights, and Falken Wildpeaks on Fuel rims. Prev owner apparently painted the grill.
What's the part number on that skid plate if you don't mind posting it.

Definitely agree with your assessment...plus, it makes the front end pop! lol

Got mine for $302 to include shipping in late 2021...we have no state tax here in Delaware.

Thank you for the feed back, I have been eyeballing this kit with and without the Alpine 6 speaker kit also, but not sure if I want the Alpine 6 speakers or the Kicker 6 speaker kit, price wise it would be cheaper to get the Alpine bundle amp/sub and 6 speakers...

I don't have an issue with my stock non JBL system, but I would just like more out of it sometimes, and I mainly listen to metal, yeah I'm an old head banger... From Metallica to Five Finger Death Punch to Evanescence, 80's rock to todays stuff anywhere from soft to hard.... lol

I used to install high end systems (early/mid 90's) and had a nice pair of 12's with big amps, cross overs, EQ's and the goodies that go along with it, even had some friends that were music entertainers, one with a recording studio and would want to hear their music on my system due to how clear it was for that time frame to check for anything that needed adjusting on the tracks, so got that t-shirt, but I am over all that stuff now and just want a simple upgrade without all the bells and whistles, and something my Pitties won't step on with the rear seats down... I have looked through the audio section hear and it seems like everyone is going big and not much basic stuff...
